If only this used usb c …

    • +1

Totally- logitech just cbf to update it.

    • +3

Charge last months IME so not the end of the world.

      • +1

Exactly - idk if the battery in the mx vertical is any less but im flat out charging it once every 6 months

      • Mine is 5+ yrs old and can't even last 1 week, I have to keep it connected with charging cable all the time. But still the best mouse ever used.

        • Tried an Ergo M575? Not as heavy/solid (could be a plus or a minus, but I prefer it), and runs on a single AA which should last a year at least.

  • +2

if you have pain on wrist, get this to try. probably will reduce the pain, or if not, then try vertical mouse.
    dont keep the pain

    • +1

agreed - changed to vertical mouse and logitech ergo keyboard after increasing pains in shoulder/wrist after extended hours of office work, also got a new chair.
not a fan of sit/stand desks so skipped that part, but heaps better now.

      • +1

yeah, the Ergo is a very comfortable mouse to use, the charge lasts a 2-3 months and it can be customised for different apps.
You have to clean the ball and socket every week though or else the ball sticks and then the onscreen pointer becomes jerky.
The only criticism I have is Logitech should have put some soft coating/ fabric on the top as the hard plastic under your palm is not nice and can get clammy.
Used one for 6+ years and got my wrist back to use for more important things.

    • Which one you reckon is better?

I'm leaning towards a vertical mouse..

      • +3

cant tell tbh. each person different. for me with this mouse wrist pain gone but i have a bit uncomfortable on my thumb. vertical is good for me.
but actually using Trackball is more cool, you can spin it hard to go from one screen to another for example.so, just get two and try.

        • +3

Another advantage of using a trackball over a mouse is that other people cannot easily use your computer. They just cannot control the curser properly.

          • +2

@Mr Bargain: This is one of the best reasons, personally. I have an MX Vertical at home for comfort, and getting another trackball for the office so no-one else uses it…

      • +6

Once you trackball you never go back

        • Ha-ha, Logitech should use this….see if they'll buy it off you.

      • +1

        Power to the thumb 👍

Don't you still have to move the vertical ones around?

    Hey Dana, are these NOS?

What's the manufacturing date cos the batteries need replacing if not charged for a long time?

    • Hi Alidli, Regrettably, the manufacturing date is not provided on the box. I'm open to suggestions or instructions on how to find the date. Please advise accordingly. Thanks

  • bought one off the ebay shop, thanks OP!

  • Love this mouse, have had it for a few years… Just picked up this one as a spare to use when I’m in the office. Thanks OP

    • yep cant carry this around too heavy and bulky
at this price good to have spare

  • +4

another use of this mouse is, remember in the office someone come and then start touching moving your mouse? ewyyyy oily palm….
if you have this mouse they will be like wtf is that i cant use it —- :D ! hygiene worths $75 alone

    • +1

Different model, it doesn't have the button that's just above the trackball that controls precision mouse movements for CAD, etc

      • But better in that it uses a replaceable AA battery that lasts 12 months+

        • You can buy a replacement battery for the MX too.
My MX is over 3 years old and the rechargeable battery is still good.

  • Does this also function as a regular mouse where you move the entire device to control the cursor or can you only use the trackball for cursor control?

    • +2

You can only use the trackball for cursor control; it feels weird at first and very slow to manoeuvre the mouse pointer, but don't let that put you off cos when you master it and set the mouse pointer speed to 11 it's faster than a normal mouse for zipping around your monitor, it feels like an extension of your thumb and you can get very precise movements with it.

best mouse ever, and best price ever - what's not to like, bought another 2.
    Great deal - thanks

  • Is this AU stock and comes with warranty?
