Crucial M4 128GB mSATA SSD - $106 Shipped

120

NOTE: This is an mSATA SSD and not the regular 2.5" often advertised for cheaper. Suitable for many of the recent Lenovo deals in the past few months.

I thought this was a fairly decent price with free shipping ($20ish cheaper than the previous deal). Too bad the HAL666 code no longer works.

  • I bought this from them for $118 4 weeks ago. Delivery was fairly quick (1 week). I was up and running on my Lenovo T420 in no time (I removed the 3G WAN card). The drive is great, and leaves two other drive bays clear, or means I can swap the optical drive back in.

  • Pretty sweet deal.

  • Would this fit in a Samsung N110 Netbook?

if you google your laptop type and it says mini pcie you should be right. As long as its not already populated with something

no, looking a quick search it says n110 comes with a 5400rpm. you need proper 2.5" ssd's. They're cheaper and faster anyways, dunno why you'd want this

No idea why this was negged, pretty sure it's correct? Many netbooks do not have a MSATA port, and there is a much better range of 2.5"s

        • From what I can remember I thought they came with a 1.8" drive, just had a look at the back and there is a million screws to remove, thanks for the help will stick with the old one.

  • How long is the warranty? I is just 1 year, then your better off going for the lite-on lzt 2.5" ssd that contains an msata inside. Its about the same price or around $80 shipped on sale. Its faster also

  • I've bought the 64GB for more than this price 2 months ago. And only found out now after installing Win8, I have less than 20GB left. :-(

    • Delete the Windows.old folder? That's the old remains of your previous Windows installation, removing that will help reclaim the space.

      • No. I dont have that folder. I installed the preview release fresh on the drive and left only 20GB. Now I install fresh again with the RTM, same.

  • hmmm, its a little strange that the os takes up that much space. Did you install it from an iso or boot disk ?
