This Oral B Pro 300 is on sale at the moment, it's still selling around $76~$89 in other shops but only $45 on Amazon (50% off). They come in three different colours, but only Lavender and Mint colours are on sale.

However, the black one (credit to attalisie) is also on sale in Priceline at the moment for only $35.99, even a better deal if you preferred black colour. https://www.priceline.com.au/product/192989/oral-b-pro-300-e… (The Priceline offer has expired now.)

I think the lithium batteries start at the 1000, these cheaper ones are nickel batteries.

    • If this is the case, definitely worth going for the higher models. I remember my old NiMH toothbrush dying pretty quickly but my current Li-ion one has been going strong for years.

I prefer NiMH batteries in this sort of thing- devices that spend 99% of their life sitting on the charging station. Nickle batteries handle this much more gracefully than lithium.

      • Maybe in general, but these toothbrushes wireless charge at probably 5w not 20w+.

        • It's not a matter of charge rate, though NiMH and Nicad can safely trickle charge. Lithiums can't (but the charger will stop when full charge is reached). The main thing is that fully charged lithiums lose capacity over time quite rapidly.

"only Lavender and Mint" colour or flavour?

  • My dentist said I need to go electric. Not wanting to break the bank.

Anything wrong with the $24 Oral-B Vitality? What an I missing compared to this one?

  • Thanks. Again, new to electric tooth brushes but do the replacement heads be more expensive for some models/brands?

Also noticed the Colgate Optic Pro 500R is only $25 too- is that a better option?

  • What's the difference between the Pro 100 and Pro 300?
