Earning Credit Card Points for Strata Levy

Zip pay has blocked payments to Deft (payments for my strata go through Deft).

Is there any other way to BPay strata and still get credit card points?

I have also tried PostBillpay but my Levy notice does not have a Bill pay code on it. It just says "Pay in person at any Australia Post Office".

    Buy discounted visa/mastercard gift cards with your credit card and then use the gift cards to pay DEFT from their website. Search for deft in all comments in these deals for more info.

      Have anyone tried this and succeeded? I remembered I couldnt use this type of card to pay deft.

    Hi,

    It seems you can buy Coles Mastercard Digital $250 with no fee at:

    so if you buy these with your Credit Card, you get Points*
    "this is counted as supermarket"

    Then use those coles digital mastercard to pay via deft ( you got lower fees as well ).
    This is the best method by far. As long as those purchase fees are waived.

    I haven't tried it, but I like the maths.

      So if you have a $1000 bill, you have to pay 4 times $250?

      I assume you cant combine the $250 x 4 to make a one time $1000 payment right?

        I have not tried yet but I think you will also need to account for the 0.99c card fee.

      Yes but it has a 1.5% surcharge for credit cards

        OMG yess that too! They have to excuse me for taking another 1/2 paper straws for back up.

        I saw one store using a bamboo straw - which has much better quality and still eco friendly.

    How about Payment Logic and Sniip? Can they be used for DEFT strata fee?

      Sniip has 1.5% surcharge too so you might aswell pay through DEFT (also 1.5%)
      unless you are paying with Amex, where it is 1.29% surcharge with Sniip

        Payment Logic by Amex is cheaper at 1.25%.

        Looks like no more fee-free for strata fee payment via credit cards now.

    Deft PostBillPay might be the last best option? But Deft don't show their biller code and reference number..

        Yeah, the Postbillpay website says the biller is not eligible for online payments when you enter the biller code from the barcode.

        I was trying to pay Strata levies via DEFT.

          I assume you would have to walk into a post office and pay with card because there is no barcode. Why else would they have the PostBillpay logo on the bill otherwise ¯_(ツ)_/¯

          Not sure if that transaction would count towards points.

            @Anon257: Certain in-person PostBillpay transactions count as cash advances. I wonder if this would be one of them.

    This does suck how zip took away this option, beem was good while it lasted and so was zip.
