Heard a rumour on the radio just before that Qantas are looking at changing QFF program to allow you to book any Qantas flight with your points…Each point would be the equivalent of 1 cent.

    • I don't think it's for every seat on every flight, rather a new tier of rewards that's limited in availability but not as limited as classic rewards.

But either way it's just another way for them to keep running their scam, advertising that you can fly from X to Y in business class for Z points when next to no one can actually achieve that redemption because of how few reward seats are available. This new offering allows them to keep classic rewards at the same rate while the amount of QFF members and the amount of points printed increases. Really it should be illegal for them to advertise theoretical redemptions that very few people can make if they're not going to increase availability.

That's what they said on the radio…

        I'll guess we'll find out soon…

So glad Joyce got the boot…

Does this apply to pre-booked flights (departing within the travel period)?

  • I'm guessing they're just going to jack up the price of max and plus fares by a few dollars to make up for the few dollars of extra points you'll earn.
