Seems there's been a price drop, great value particularly at or below 1920*1200.

for the price its the best value for money card on the market.
I picked up a 6850 about a year ago, is this worth the upgrade? or should I buy another 6850 and go crossfire?
This is worth the upgrade yes.. its as fast as a HD6970 and once overclocked a little bit faster but uses half the amount of power and produces half the heat.
awesome thanks
overclocking it to at least 950Mhz Core clock is very easy to do
Wish they'd open on the weekends

Staticice shows this price is applicable at a couple of other outlets as well. Great price for a great card regardless tho.True but this is pccasegear… they will not only express post you the "stocked items within 1 to 2 days of placing your order but they will also happily take it back on RMA if you have any issues with it.. top QTY store, best service
I even asked for store credit on a HD6950 that died after 3 months and they were fine with it.
PCCG have had their fair share of hits and misses as well, but you are correct, would buy from them before any of the others.
That static ice link shows that cards that are comparable in price are the 1GB versions
When do the next series of ATI/AMD cards come out?
If rumors are true as they seem to point that the 8970 will enter production in late 2012 and launched in early (January/February) 2013.
Good card, Sold mine on ebay recently for more than this.
I upgraded to a 7950 as this card could not handle 1440p as well as I would like
how is it on 1440? I just ordered a new monitor and it looks like the 7950 will only just scrape by
7950 is great on a 1440p, however I do not play any cutting edge games, mainly WoW, D3 although borderlands 2 runs perfect on high settings.
7850 on 1440p struggled at max settings in raids for WoW, was fine for D3 though.
edit: Keep in mind that the 7950 is a 3GB card which is perfect for higher res monitors.
ill have to see when I get mine, dell says eta on the 5th wtf!
wow raids seem to be more cpu dependent.
HIS 7870 OC from pccasegear 235 including postage to WA. This one not too bad on the cheap. Plus the 12.11 driver will kick arse.
or you can buy it locally for $229 at msy for HIS or Powercolor, $245 for MSI, $249 for Sapphire, Asus and Gigabyte.
I wouldn't pay $238 for the HIS one though
Oh I was referring to this deal http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/79347
Though this version can be overclock close to stock 7950 performance
aaaaah, I see.
This or GTX 660? Recommendations?
This card, bigger bit bus, highly overclockable. Better driver in version 12.11 catalyst. More friendly past 1080p resolution
Cheapest I have seen so far:
7850 $175
7870 $215
660 ti $285
660 ti $296 gigabyterealistcally with the price drops we should be seeing these a touch lower but only until a couple of weeks ago retailers havent been passing on the price cuts assuming because they have old stock
7870 $215
Actually $199 from PCCG. Expired already though.
Just got mine and installed big jump for me from a 8800GT
good if you only need to drive a few 24" screens (3)
