    Successfully purchased 4 x $250 cards, made a rookie mistake by using them to pay for various utilities instead of buying the next lot of 4 x $250.

    Just to play safe to make sure they are accepted. Only to miss out to buy more.

    With some work saved $75, not too bad.

    I added 6 to paypal now it's "Your card has been declined. Please try a different payment method.". Annoyingly I paid rates, land tax, water and now I have 6 I can't put into paypal boo! Maybe I hit the daily limit?

      I would say daily limit. Give it sometime before reattempted. Maybe an hour to a week from experience.

      Security block on your PayPal account. Customer service have the ability to 'override' it and allow you to add your card in again.

          Commonwealth Bank's abbreviation is CBA.

          The transaction declining was most likely none of your bank's fault either. Coles' GC site have stringent security measures that inadvertently affect new buyers too.

    Some credit card has “Gambling Payment” function enable or disable, if you have it disable that might be why your transaction failed to buy this card. I found out when I purchased gift card from other websites. Hope this help.

    While I was able to purchase the Coles Master Cards using my CBA credit card, but unable to purchase a Special Gift Card.

    Ironically it is a CBA offer, spend $150 on Special Gift Card and get $15 back. But it won't accept a CBA credit card, go figure!

    It uses Stripe to process payments, the response from Stripe was "card_declined", "try_again_later".

    Search Stripe documentation, there's no exact explanation why it was declined: https://docs.stripe.com/declines/codes

    Ask the customer to attempt the payment again. If subsequent payments are declined, the customer needs to contact their card issuer for more information.

      No, not directly.

      The Coles Mastercard gift cards in this deal can only handle card-not-present transactions (e.g. online transactions) and cannot be added to any mobile wallets.

      You would have needed to use these Coles Mastercard gift cards to purchase another gift card that could then be used in-store at Woolworths, which is the likely reason the Card.Gift deal from earlier today was unusually popular.

      It's for saving 7.5%. Ubank only pays around 5% interest so tell them if they raise the interest rate to 8% then you won't need to buy the discounted prepaid mastercard.

      I just bought $250 ($100+$100+$50) in Amazon gift cards via ShopBack and it is now Pooled in my Amazon AU account as $250.
      If I buy a product over $250, Amazon just asks to another payment option for the remaining amount.

        Thanks. Ended up getting what I needed from the Swap Celebration gift cards through Shopback. I had already converted one card to the VISA GC so will have to try that one for something another time. My final Mastercard is awaiting a pending charge to clear that didn't go through from Paypal - and they say that can take up to a week.
