  Used to have Emby, which worked for a year or so… till it didn't. Glitch after glitch till it just gave up on itself.
  
  I tried Jellyfin last week to see if there would be any impact on the functioning of my M2 Mac Mini.
  Crashed so many times when loading my content I thought the drive was failing. Spent a day trying to problem solve, forums, reboots, drive checks… I'm not a techy person so reliant on the wisdom of others.
  
  Eventually I tried Plex just to see, and I was up and running in 30 minutes.
  
  Not saying Jellyfin isn't a good product, but for me, for my hardware, I had to go with an alternative (even if it ended up being the corporate alternative with fees, dammit). Waiting to see if it goes as well for a few months (give Emby experience) before I stump up for a Plex Pass.
  
  My conclusion is that it's considering another option if one's just not working for you from the get-go (esp. if you're not IT-savvy).
