OZB-BIRTHDAY

Quick Intro

My deal video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=skbfQ9ciAWE

I have covered some of the key points in the video above (and followed up from some discussions in the prior deals we have run). But it goes without saying - this community has really helped us to level up over the years and so thank you to everyone who has supported us!

Anyway, here goes our latest deal, I hope it provides some great value!

Plus we some featured offers on some other products of ours:

Coupon code: OZB-BIRTHDAY (add in shopping cart)

You will get the store credit just so long as you order 4kg or 5kg of WPI (or more). You can order anything else on top of this and you will still receive the bonus credit amount and free shipping.

Otherwise, if you're on Club Free trial period, you will not earn the Club Z points, but you still get the repeat or new customer Z points back.

WPI Flavours

We now have 23 flavours available to choose from.

Our new release for this deal is Indulgent White Chocolate. Melon Milk and Iced Chai Latte are our other newer releases (released in November).

All flavours are naturally sweetened. We have transitioned over to thaumatin for the fact that it is an all natural plant based sweetener, a superior flavour profile, a neutral insulin impact (as it is a protein) and being very gentle on the gut. A bit of trivia, thaumatin is about 10x the cost of artificial counterparts (eg. sucralose) and more than 5x the cost of stevia based on weight! Our focus remains on product quality.

Also note the Unflavoured option is straight WPI with just sunflower lecithin added at the point of manufacture to assist in mixing and reduce frothing (less than 1% w/w). There is no sweetener.

Flavour Availability:

Flavour availability will change throughout the deal. I will this area updated as flavours run out.

  • On Backorder (Can be backordered): Mint Choc Chip (Back in stock 2-3 months - see below)
  • In Stock: All Other Flavours

IMPORTANT: Mint Choc Chip will incur a lengthy delay (2-3 months) due to our local flavour manufacturer unable to get more flavour to us sooner than this. We have tried everything to get this flavour in sooner, very sorry about this, but we will accept backorders in case you want this sent once back in stock.

Product Breakdown

  • 100% Australian Blended and Packed in our Sydney Facility
  • Our manufacturing facility is owned by us and is a NSW Licensed Food Facility with an approved Dairy Processing license
  • For the nutritional information for each flavour, please click on the "Nutritional Info" tab. The best macros are for Unflavoured (Per serve: 29.7g P / 0.3g F / 0.4g C), and the flavour breakdowns will be variable. All other flavours have less than 1g of fat per serve and 1.2-3.7g of carbs/serve. The newer Aussie Choc Malt is the only exception with 9.9g carbs/serve (from the malt component) - I highly recommend it for the taste, avoid if you want to keep the carbs down.
  • We only use WPI in this protein - this is not a blend of other cheaper proteins (for example Whey Protein Concentrate/WPC)
  • Protein is added hormone free, ultra and micro filtered and cold pressed
  • Naturally sweetened with thaumatin. We do not use artificial sweeteners.
  • Soy free - we use sunflower lecithin instead of soy lecithin (soy is common in whey proteins)
  • Backed by our 110% Guarantee. Try it and if you don't love it, we'll give you 110% back (in store credit) or a full refund (including delivery). As I mentioned in the video, we offer this so you can try the product risk-free. If you've opened it up to try it we're not going to make you send it back either.

Commonly Asked - Amino Z WPI / ON 100% Whey / Musashi 100% Whey (The 3 most popular proteins here on OzBargain)

In almost all of our prior WPI deals, I have been asked how our WPI compares to two other very popular products on OzBargain that we sell (Optimum Nutrition 100% Gold Standard Whey and Musashi 100% Whey).

One thing I want to emphasise is that we sell all three products and despite us obviously having a vested interest in our own brand, we firmly stand behind the quality of all three products (hence why we stock all of them).

In a previous deal, I asked our team to put together a comprehensive and objective video detailing many key differences between the three products. So if you're interested, the video can be seen at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6LBeV33fArc

Obviously taste will come down to personal preference so we haven't touched on this, we have instead focussed on key attributes of each product. I hope this presents a fair representation of each.

Whey Protein Prices in 2024

We have been asked about the outlook on whey protein prices this year and I wanted to be as transparent as possible as to what to expect in the coming months.

Our raw material pricing for whey protein has already increased substantially for stock that we will be receiving in the coming months. This is occurring across all regions of manufacture. Unless things change, I do anticipate that we may begin to see reasonable increases in retail prices this year. This will likely affect all forms of Whey protein (WPI, WPC etc).

We will of course do our best to keep prices as low as possible. While I don't have a crystal ball, this is more of a heads up as to what to reasonably expect based on the many conversations I've had with suppliers.

      • @Tythefly86 I've responded again below (please see my other reply for the full details).

Anyway, Vanessa is going to reach out to you now and rectify this for you to avoid further inconvenience to you.

        Jay

  • Just an update guys, because I saw this question before, but it was never properly answered and I just received my first AminoZ order today.

AminoZ chocolate flavour is more similar to ON smooth milk chocolate than the AminoZ smooth milk chocolate.

The AminoZ smooth milk chocolate has a very weak flavour and tastes a bit weird like baby milk powders, but the chocolate flavour is really good.

I would rate the chocolate 8/10 and smooth milk chocolate 3/10. Will definitely try other flavours in the future.

The creatine is 10/10 and dissolves easily.

The seal of the package is terrible.. Two were damaged already after first use, so I will have to put them in jars, but Jay said he is aware of this problem and will improve it in the future.

I also have a question Jay please: do you have any BCAAs in the protein like other brands or it is just whey?

    • +1

Hi @vickiolesen and thanks for sharing this feedback.

If you don't like the smooth milk chocolate, we'll be happy to send out a different flavour. And if any of the pouches are damaged we can sort that out for you too.

Would you mind sending through a direct message with your order number and Vanessa can look after you on this matter.

In relation to the BCAA's, while our whey does contain BCAA's as part of the whey protein, we do not add/fortify with additional amino acids in there. This is generally going to be the case with the majority of whey powders on the market. For example with ON Whey, this also does not have BCAA's added in, but they do make mention of the BCAA's contained within the whey protein itself. There will of course be exceptions where some brands may actually add them in as separate ingredients.

      I hope this helps.

      Jay

      • Thanks, Jay.. such excellent customer service… I sent Vanessa a PM and added more details about the pouches problem and the reason behind it. Hopefully, you can pass on my message to the design team, and you will manage to solve it soon. I will definitely make new orders in the future.

        • +1

          My pleasure @vickiolesen

I'll give Vanessa a heads up about this too so she can expect your message. Thank you so much for your support once again!

          Jay

          • @aminozcomau: Thanks again Jay; much appreciated … I'll await Vanessa's reply to my message then.

Fair warning to you all. If you make a payment and you get an error, don't make the payment again! I got an error during payment and no receipt or order number so I proceeded to pay again and it went though the second time. These numb nuts ended up double charging me and double making the order under 2 different order numbers but only sent me a receipt for one making me think it only went through once. Then today, I get a notification from couriers please saying they received my package when I already got a notification yesterday for it under a different consignment number. Now I gotta chase it up and wait on them to receive the package back to get my refund when they never should have done this in the first place. If they actually notified me of the double order and charge, I could have stopped them before sending 2 of them out. All in all this has been very annoying and a waste of my time so please take care when you are paying for an order on this website! It's terribley designed where you can get double charged/double ordered and not even be notified about it until it's too late.

    • +1

Happened to me last time with Amino Z. First order timed out (OzBargained?) so I placed another order. I checked my credit card and noticed two transactions so I just emailed them, they validated and refunded it. Any time I get an error during the order from ANY merchant I check my credit card. This issue isn't unique to Amino Z so I don't know why you're blaming them.

      • -5

Haha, get off the teet mate. I didn't make "another order" like you. Should I be sorry for assuming the website was telling the truth with the payment error? lol…
Never have I ever experienced an error like this with any other online store. Sure, I've had a double charge happen before, but not like this where it was double ordered and sent with different order numbers from the same cart. Somehow after the error they have left my stuff in the cart and allowed me to pay again under a diff order number and sent both out whilst only notifying me via email about one of them. It's all sorted now anyway. I knew Amino z would sort it out, I just wanted to warn people about it and if they get an error to not trust the website error notification. You get put back to the same payment screen with the same cart, without getting a receipt in email, so it's pretty easy to miss it in my opinion. Is it my fault for assuming the website was telling the truth? Nope. If I don't blame them, who do I blame? Seems like an obvious error to me where they should have something in place to detect duplicate orders like this made back to back. Just my opinion.. I'll still keep buying from them, I'll just be more careful if I get an error on the website now.

    • Hi @Tythefly86 I'm terribly sorry to hear that the website hit an error and now you've been inconvenienced by this whole issue. And especially since the confirmation email didn't come through to you.

I'm going to get Vanessa onto this matter for you. Do you happen to have an order number so I can take a look at it and help to sort this out?

      Thanks in advance.

      Jay

    • @Tythefly86, I've just spoken to Vanessa about this issue and she is going to rectify this right away for you.

While we did experience massive order volumes at the time at which you were placing our order which did result in this error, it's certainly not any excuse for the inconvenience of having to wait for a delivery you were unaware of and then proceed to have to return it. I totally understand where you're coming from and this is not how we want our customers to experience dealing with us.

Vanessa is going to reach out to you now to provide an immediate solution.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. Thanks also for ordering with us and I am sorry for the stuff around.

      Jay

      • -4

Thanks for the help Jay. I'm sorry for calling your staff "numb nuts". I can't edit it now you replied but it was uncalled for considering it was a computer/software error. I was just frustrated about having to wait for the refund and that clearly came out in my warning to others. I've been a customer for a while now, never had a problem before and I will definitely be returning in the future! Thanks again :)

        • +1

          No worries @Tythefly86.

I can understand the frustration with the whole situation, ultimately caused by the checkout issue (ie. Our fault).

I trust Vanessa sorted this out for you already but should there be any issues please let me know.

Thanks again for shopping with us, I truly appreciate it.

          Jay

          • -1

@aminozcomau: It's even more frustrating when your staff tell me they will chase up the package and not to worry about it all and to ignore any texts or emails about it and then the thing shows up at my door today and I am forced to ask the courier to hang around why I call you and ask what you want done with the packages and which one I should accept. On the phone, I get told that you couldnt intercept the package so why not tell me this with a simple email and let me know to expect the duplicate package again? Your companies communication needs work!

            • @Tythefly86: @Tythefly86 I just saw this comment and spoke to Vanessa to see what occurred.

As I understand, both parcels we not able to be intercepted, both came for delivery at the same time and this was unexpected and contrary to what we had told you previously before delivery (ie. Not to worry about it and we will handle it on our end).

I agree we could have improved the way in which this communicated, as it clearly caught you by surprise and you should not be forced to make a last minute phone call to figure out what to do with the delivery.

I appreciate you refusing the second delivery after speaking to our team today. But yes, you were certainly put on the spot there and I do apolgise for the confusion.

I have just discussed this with Vanessa and yes, we will definitely be using this as an example of where we can improve our level of communication.

Vanessa will resch out to you shortly in relation to this matter also.

I greatly appreciate you raising this to make me aware of it.

              Jay

              • @aminozcomau: Thanks Jay. Vanessa sent me an email and you guys more than made up for it, which I do appreciate. No hard feelings in the end :)

                • @Tythefly86: Happy to hear, glad Vanessa got it all sorted. Thanks!

                  Jay

    • -1

did the original 'errored' order ever show up on your account on the Aminoz website, or just as surprise package dlivery? I got this error while placing an order: "An error occurred while creating new token. Please try again. (Error message: Invalid Number)"

and while I do trust Aminoz to fix things quickly, as they've always been super responsive.. I don't want the hassle of returns/refunds.

      • -2

I didn't think to look at my order history on the website at the time because I only received one confirmation/receipt email with only one order number, so I assumed it was fine. I only realised what happened a few days later when I received an email from couriers please saying I had a package coming under a different consignment number than the email they sent me 24hours earlier. I knew I didn't have two packages ordered from them so I investigated further by checking my bank and then following up with Amino Z.

It was only a minor hassle in the grand scheme of things. I find it leans in their favour when my other options are more expensive, lower quality and involve other hassles like driving to and from a store and waiting in a big line at chemist warehouse. Sure there's other brands online but they don't compare to Amino Z's deals like this imo. This is the first time it's ever happened to me and now I've learnt that I should check my bank no matter what error I get during payment on a website. Amino Z has ultimately taught me to be more cautious about possible double charges and I appreciate that. I got too complacent trusting technology lol.

  • Hey I am wondering if it's possible to delay an order for a month or so?
I'm going on holiday next week and wouldn't want this to sit outside for 3 weeks if I ordered now.
    Cheers!

    • +1

      Yes absolutely @cartonofbeer!

Just place the order and leave a comment in the order to request to delay the delivery. I'd also recommend shooting over a direct message here o OzBargain so Vanessa (our head of customer service) can oversee if for you too.

      Thanks for the support!

      Jay

      • Ok brilliant thank you Jay!
Love your products and you and the team are always great deal with.
        Cheers

        • You're welcome and thank you so much for the kind words!

          Jay

  • Hey Jay,
Just received my order today and based on my calculation it will probably last me 2 months. If I were to place another order with delayed delivery do I still get the bonus credit?

    • Thanks for reaching out @Bullzye!

You can do a delayed delivery, but keep in mind that you will only get one lot of bonus credit during the promotional period. So if your last order qualified for it, you wont get a second lot for the next order.

However if your last order didn't qualify, then yes, you will still receive the credit on a delayed delivery.

If you would like to delay delivery, please just leave a comment and send a direct message to us so Vanessa so she can oversee this.

I hope that makes sense. Thanks again for the support of this deal!

      Jay

  • Recently tried some samples, really liked it so I ordered a whole bunch, excellent deal! Sadly, I'm only a paid Club Z member as of yesterday :')

@Amino Z, I see you recommend mixing with water or milk (water for lower calories). Thoughts on using almond milk? Best of both worlds?

    • +1

Thanks for the support @ninjalot! And thanks for signing up to Club Z, you'll get access to the Club Z perks moving forward (including each time we launch one of these deals).

Water or milk are often the more popular choices, but if you like almond milk, then absolutely this would go well too. Less creamy than milk but it would compliment our flavours.

      Jay

    • +1

I mix with Almond milk. It's better than water, not as good as real milk but do it for the lower calories/carbs, of course. Wait for Colesworth to do a half price for under $1.50/L and I fill my trolly with a few cartons from the shelf..

  • Oh noes, not another one of these deals. Ok here, take my money!!!!

Also PS, I had an issue with one of your flavours a while ago and your support team replaced it no questions asked. Seriously brilliant service!!!!!

    • Hi @Pleasure Paulie thank you so much for the ongoing support! I'm happy to see that our team looked after you too. Thanks for sharing!

      Jay

  • Hhey @aminozcomau just had my subscription sent out on 26/2 - not sure if i'm eligible for this - is it too late?

    • Thanks for asking @Securityclearance

If you just had another order sent out, please feel free to send through a direct message and Vanessa will be happy to look after you so you don't miss out.

Thanks for the support of our brand!

      Jay

  • Thanks Jay - is there natural testosterone coming back (before the deal ends?)

    • Hi @Unorthodox no we won't be bringing those capsules back in the short term. The TGA released new regulations around capsules and we decided to discontinue this line for now. We are considering a new release, but not in the immediate future as we do need to undertake further research.

Thanks for asking and sorry about this. Thank you for the upvote too.

      Jay

  • Ended up getting some. Tastes great and came basically overnight!

    • Awesome, thanks for sharing this great feedback @Thinkswithelbow! Thank you for the support!

      Jay

  • post to nz?

    • Sorry @right on, we only ship within Australia presently.

      Jay

  • I finally cracked my choc mint bag from the last order. These guys have absolutely nailed it. Best choc mint I’ve tried by any manufacturer of protein.

Choc-coconut I’m not a big fan of but got through the bag as it was tolerable but I think someone said they loved it

The chocolate and smooth chocolate also delicious. But dam they nailed the choc mint like I’ve never had before

    • @FsYK thank you for the feedback! I am blown away that feedback on the choc mint, I'll be sharing this with the team who I know will be super chuffed!

Of course if you want to get something else for the choc coconut, feel free to shoot over a private message and Vanessa will help you out.

Thanks again for the support of the deal!

      Jay

      • +1

Nah all good mate. I still got through the Choc Coconut - probs just wont re-order myself - but I think that's largely a personal taste preference as it someone else said it was really good for them above.

        • Ok no worries, but the offer is always there should you change your mind. Thanks again!

          Jay

  • I just placed an order for the 5kg as a new customer, but didn't receive any store credit. Does it take time to receive the store credit?

  • here is my dilemma with supplements and protein powder, i used to be into them heavy few years ago, but i was in horrible shape bulky with fat, have not taken any for the past 2 years, literally no protein powder, no pre workout, and I'm in the best shape i ever was in the past 10 years. its all about the diet, id like to say its 80 percent diet, 20 percent workout, and i cant say i contribute any of my success to supplements as much as advertisement companies have made us believe in the past quarter century

Congratulations on this @Roe Jogan. Not many people undertake such a drastic transformation.

I personally have to agree with your sentiment here. A big reason why I entered the industry back in 2006 was because of all the misinformation put out there. Crazy false promises of getting ripped and bulking up with little to no effort - just take a pill or powder.

Even as the owner of a supplement brand, I would 100% agree with you in that supplements are not necessary. You can achieve amazing results through food and exercise alone - clearly you have yourself. While supplements have been demonstrated to aid that journey (eg. Aiding recovery, strength, hypertrophy, adherence, convenience etc), they should always be used to supplement a strong foundation rooted in diet and exercise. They are not a replacement nor a magic solution.

Thank you for sharing your success and for also raising this very valid point!

      Jay

Not going to comment about other supplements, but I mean the point of protein powder is to help you hit daily protein goals while staying within your diet's calorie limit. If you can do that with just regular food, you clearly don't need protein powder. Protein powder is literally just another type of food, correlation doesn't mean causation and anecdotal evidence doesn't mean protein powder in an of itself is bad. Unless you mean you don't need much protein of any source at all to get in a shape, which is certainly not true if you're looking for muscle growth.

      • +1

thanks @aminozcomau i appreciate it mate, @ninjalot now here is the crazy part, and some might think I'm bullshitting, all i eat during weekdays is a salad, yes a salad, i skip breakfast, i eat salad for lunch, and sometimes fruits for dinner, i have cheat days on weekends where i eat meat and whatever i want. now im not some crazy vegan i love my meat on my cheat days but i don't put meat on my weekday salad, its a vegetarian salad with no added protein, i still got good muscles and bulk, veiny arms, i got a 4 pack (last 2 are super hard to get)..

        • To clarify, not trying to convince you to take protein powder, keep doing whatever works for you. I don't think you're bullshitting, everyone is different, it's entirely possible you're getting enough protein to gain muscle without eating much meat. Some veges are a great source of protein. Your body is using the protein you do consume to build whatever muscle you gain, that's just biology. And I can see salad diet being great for weight loss, because that has less to do with protein more to do with consuming at a calorie deficit to use up stored fat over time.

The thing with anecdotal evidence, its anecdotal. For most people the scientific consensus is around 1.2-1.7g of protein per kg body weight to gain muscle. My point is, you can say protein powder doesn't work for you, but that doesn't mean protein powder doesn't work period. I agree, there are a whole bunch bs supplements out there and lots of marketing bs, but protein powder is literally just food. If your body gets enough protein (possibly including from whey powder) while you stimulate muscle growth with weight training, for the most part you'll build muscle. If you consume fewer calories than you burn, your body will use up stored fats (for the most part) and be able show off your gainz.

          • +1

@ninjalot: yeh thats a good way of putting it. calorie deficient diet is the most logical explanation

        • I think one thing where these powders has been incredibly useful is my body type allows for me to gain mass quickly, but I also gain fat and easily. I found if I worked out, I would have an urge to eat much higher calories utilisation and just put on fat. Having protein powder is an easy way to have instead of eating.

  • Deal still running? Getting error code "do not honor"

Nvm still working just screwed up old Cc details

    • Glad you got it sorted @Jazza2400! Thanks for the order!

      Jay

  • I'm on keto and just about gave up my beloved melon milk… so the fact you guys have this flavour is so exciting!!

    • +1

Thanks @wednesdayfaye I hope you like the melon milk!

      Jay

  • Thanks got another order
Hope cinnamon makes a reappearance one day :)

    • +1

Thanks for the new order @rilebags!

We are working on the cinnamon re-release, but no luck with a good enough flavour as of yet I'm afraid. The Iced Chai Latte is probably the closest that we have currently, which is a relatively new flavour of ours.

      Thanks for the ongoing support!

      Jay

  • Great deal Jay!
    Order 5kg

I've got one complaint though. Since last couple orders, the zipper of the bag doesn't last. It breaks down within a day or two. Can you please look into it?

    • Thanks for the new order @ansh4friends!

I'm terribly sorry about your experience with the bags, we did have some faulty bags. Would you mind sending through a direct message to us on here? Vanessa can sort this out for you if they have been problematic.

We have since improved our bags and most of the new orders now being shipped out should be an improved version. We are however continuing to improve the design with a further improved version about to be released very soon.

      Thanks again for your support!

      Jay

  • Thanks for extending it. Forgot to order it yesterday.

Also great deal on the creatine @ $37/kg

    • You're welcome and thank you for the support of the deal @worrierwan!

      Jay

  • How long does it take for the bonus reward credit to be applied to our accounts after purchase? Ordered on Feb 26 the 5x 1kg bag deal but nothing is showing in my reward balance.

EDIT: Apologies, just saw mentioned in a few comments back that it takes 10 days.

All good @itsmehuey, that's right, within 10 days after the order ships. Thanks again!

    Ordered 4kg protein + Creatine + Shaker
    Tested -
Melon milk - Similar flavour to asian melon candy (Hi-Chew), very good.
Taro milk ice cream - Taro milk tea flavour but has a more distinguishable taro flavour rather than just sweetness overwhelming the taro.
Both are very good. Easily mixed with water, but protein does get quite foamy. Also the bags are zipper bags + air tight, can't say much on durability only been a few days.
Creatine - cakey. Personally prefer as it is easy to mix.
Shaker - Feels sturdy, lid is stiff (usually shaker lids are floppy and annoying to deal with).

    Overall - Highly recommend.
    Thanks for this great deal.

Thanks for sharing this great feedback @averagepogenjoyer and I am so happy to see that you've been impressed!

I'll be passing this feedback along to the team too. Thanks again!

      Jay

    • Well now I'm tempted to get the taro as well…

      • the taro is quite nice. my wife generally doesn't like WPI protein powders and is picky with flavours but she actually enjoys the taro.

  • Hi Amino Z (Jay)

Was wondering if you were able to extend the deal to midnight tonight or if it has been extended?

    Thanks

    • @EM36 yes, this will still be available midnight tonight. We did an extension earlier today. Thanks for your interest!

      Jay

  • Amazing deal Jay! Have made an order and also sent you guys a PM a few days ago about a recent order.

    • +1

Thanks for the new order @Obey. And sure, Vanessa will get back to you shortly about the other order. Thanks again!

      Jay

  • Hi Jay,

    When does this deal end?

    • HI @Chrisgg, we have done one final extension on this deal and it will 100% end on Wednesday. Thanks for asking!

      Jay

  • Hi Jay, Not sure if this is been answered, but what is the expiry on the chocolate flavour?
Because i have Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey Protein Powder still left which can still go for a bit.

    Thanks for this great deal

    • +1

Thanks for asking @Whatisinthename. It will be 18-24 months away and "best before". I beleive it is more likely to be over 20 months as the chocolate flavour moves very quickly.

      Jay

  • Thanks Jay! I forgot to order yesterday, was happy to see it was extended a day, especially when I checked here and saw I had 5 minutes left before the deal ended. I managed to place the order less than a minute to spare, I wonder if I was the last! Thanks for a great deal!

    • Thank you for the order @Slatox! I really appreciate the support.

      Jay

  • What flavours would Amino Z staff or the many customers here recommend for someone who finds nearly all flavoured protein powders too sweet, and who is sensitive to the taste of all sugar alternatives (including thaumatin, though notably it's not as terrible as some of them like acesulphame potassium)?

I've tried the Amino Z Chocolate flavour and it's both too sweet and has the weird thaumatin taste. Generally speaking, chocolate and coffee type flavour profiles are likely to appeal to me.

I've also tried adjusting the powder to liquid ratio (diluting it more or less), tried all water, all milk and variations in between for the liquid, but really the underlying sweetness and sweetener flavour profile don't go away. Mixing in fresh fruit helps to cover up that flavour, but then the whole drink is even sweeter!

I'm aware I could just buy the unsweetened WPI (which I think is what I'm going to need to do) but I'm lazy and if I can get something with a little flavour that I can just mix with water or milk and shake, that's a winner.

    • @segger thanks for reaching out and asking.

All our flavours, except unflavoured, do have thaumatin, so please be aware of this. To be fully honest and transparent with you, if you cannot get past this from a flavour point of view, I wouldn't recommend ordering any of our flavoured options.

In terms of the flavours, we do have an Iced Coffee which will be on the stronger side, but it is also sweet, so the thaumatin will come through. There is however some of the bitterness from the coffee (it is real coffee we use).

Our chocolate will have cocoa in there, once again being quite a rich flavour. So does Aussie Choc Malt, the flavour being comparable to a malt drink. Again though, both are sweet flavours.

One idea could be to purchase unflavoured and a flavoured option and mix them together to reduce the sweetness and adjust for your preference. It will dilute the flavour too, but this would be more of an interesting flavour profile than straight unflavoured. But please do note, the thaumatin won't go away here completely.

I don't know how much this helps, but I hope it at least assists you a bit here.

      Jay

      • Thanks for your thoughts Jay. I hadn't considered mixing some plain WPI with a flavoured one. Might experiment with that. I just wish every protein company of the face of the earth didn't obsess with having an absolutely minimal calorie count in every single version of their products, and also didn't always make flavours that seem to be trying to be a punch in the face with sweetness (whether a sugar alternative or not).

        • No problems @segger

It's pretty on-trend with lower calorie powders. We have sold higher calorie powders in the past (under different brands, not ours) and those lines just never really caught traction and were always discontinued here in Australia.

Points taken on your feedback above however. We did have some other suggestions in the thread around sweetness, so we will be taking all of this on board for within our range.

          Jay

    • +1

I've had similar issues in the past. An unsweetened WPI but still with a flavour to mask the whey would be the holy grail for me.

The closest I've come is Myprotein Hojicha Latte. Sadly it's no longer manufactured, but it was my favourite ever flavour. Not sweet at all but an authentic hojicha* flavour. My current plan is to get some Hojicha tea powder and mix it with unflavoured Amino Z and see how it goes.

*If you haven't tried Hojicha before, it's the roasted version of matcha green tea. You can try hojicha lattes at Matcha-ya or Nana's Green Tea if you're in Sydney to get a taste of it or buy hojicha powder online and make your own latte.

@Amino Z, would great if you could make a version of this, I'd buy it for life!

      • +1

@ninjalot I've taken note of this flavour, this is a great idea.

Previously in the comments it was suggested to have a sweetness rating on each flavour too. I think this could go well, especially if this is not much of a sweet flavour, since many of ours are relatively sweet.

Anyway, I will be bringing this to the team. Thanks again.

        Jay

        • If this (or basically any flavour which doesn't taste like crap) was unsweetened or very slightly sweetened with sugar, I would also buy it for life :-D

  • How long has shipping taken for you?

I placed my order on Sunday night but it's still on processing. Is it normal to take around 2-3 days to process before the order ships out?

    • +1

@safwanc we have started to fall a little behind with the order volume experienced in the past few days and there may be up to a day delay I'm sorry.

If you wouldn't mind sending through your order number by a direct message, Vanessa can look into your order specifically for you.

Thanks for the support of this deal!

      Jay

      • No problem!

I had a feeling that this was the case, and I didn't mean it as a complaint. I was just curious how long orders have taken for others.

I just started working out again after a 2 year break, so my existing ON protein powder has all expired. I'm extremely excited to try out your flavours after seeing everyone else's comments :)

        • +1

Ah ok, even still, we do like to get the order out within 1 business day, but we really did not anticipate the surge as it was coming to an end. Admittedly we were ill-prepared for the onslaught this week. The support of this deal has been overwhelming to say the least.

You should get the notification by email once it's packed off (and by SMS if you didn't opt out).

Best of luck with the training after the break and I hope you like the flavours! And thanks again for giving us a go :)

          Jay

  • Hey @aminozcomau

Two of my bags have splits where the slide seals it. One is a fairly new bag with limited use and another is half way through the contents.

Are you able to supply emtpy bags?

    Cheers

    • Sorry to hear about this @Clivey In Space

Yes absolutely. Would you mind sending a direct message with your order number? Vanessa will be able to action this for you.

Thanks for reaching out about this.

      Jay

  • 2 more days and I suppose I'll get that store credit, as that'll be day 10!

    • Yep it will arrive by then, but should there be any issues please feel free to reach out to our team. Thanks for the support of this deal @musicinbed69

      Jay

  • Hey, Jay I've recently bought the 4kg of WPI as a new customer. The protein has arrived but I don't see the $50 worth of Z points in my account. Any chance I could get some help?
