Delivery is mostly free.
From their website:
Are there any delivery charges?
Delivery for all set boxes of fruit and veg is FREE. For pick and pack, delivery is also FREE providing you spend $25 or more, otherwise there will be a scaled delivery fee of up to $5. A delivery fee is also payable if you order a set box but spend less than $25 on pick and pack items.
When you purchase 3 or more items from the milkman and butcher range delivery is FREE. Orders of just one item are not accepted, but delivery can be arranged for customers requiring only 2 items, with a small delivery fee of $1 to reflect the delivery and business costs of our local milkmen. A donation to the Aussie Farmers Foundation does not count towards the 3 item minimum.
There'll be a $15 delivery surcharge on your first order…
Meh, they never bothered calling as they were supposed to for their last offer after I registered. Pass.
Same thing here. I eventually called them back and they said a delivery would come that Friday morning and it never did. I called them Friday arvo to ask why and they said I never gave credit card details…..true, but why did you take my order and say it would be delivered??
//assumed I'd get billed after the fact…
Same thing with me- though I did have a few missed calls from an unknown number after I had registered. Whoever it was never left a message though so I have no idea if it was Aussie Farmers or just some random spammy number calling my phone (they only called during business hours while I was at work so I never got to answer it).
The code you entered has successfully credited $15.00 to your account. This will apply to your first billing cycle (on Friday the week after you receive your first order).
Does the credit expire?
damn, no upfront discount…
Extremely confusing site…
I think I managed to order 3 things x $4.99 … didn't get a confirmation, nothing… probably will give them a call tomorrow…
They had a door to door guy who came around. I told him I was interested, but needed to check it out. He got a bit shirty and insisted that I give him my bank account details. I told him there was no way I was doing that with some door to door unsolicited salesperson. He was obnoxious and I don't like the fact that they can basically charge whatever they want to your bank account once you sign up. You would have a hard time disputing it.
Not negging the deal, but in my short experience with these guys I feel like they're a second rate small business trying to crack a bigger market. They've got a great product but are still working out the teething issues of growth….which makes for a tedious client experience.
Their website is sh*t, I'm so confused!
there is no rder confirmation page so I have no idea how much I am paying for in total, and to know whether the voucher code was applied.
They hand these out to everyone. All their employees have a stack of cards that they give everyone they meet.
I believe it was these guys who had an offer in the Bounty Mothers bags that you get in the hospital when you have a baby, it was for a free small basket/box of goods to try. Filled out my details and never heard back from them, sent them an email to follow it up and they never responded. Poor form.
give them a go.. if it pans out might stay but reviews are abit sour atm..
I'm going to give them a go but the website is so poorly laid out, it is not a good start.
I just hope they are not one of those companies that HASSLE you and call you repeatedly or I will not be making any future orders.
__
EDIT: I googled AFD and found some comments about them calling customers repeatedly and not leaving a message (not a good start at all but I will proceed with my 1st order): http://www.reverseaustralia.com/lookup/0390159100/
Looks too expensive.
Eg Lamb leg roast $13.30 kg, vs Supermarket I pay no more than 9 kg which I can select.
More importantly fruit and veg cannot be chosen exactly.
I was visited by one of their door to door salesman too,
and I wonder how much this adds to their prices.
Is there a minimum spend requirement for the credit to be applied?
I used this voucher a few weeks ago with no problems whatsoever. Good enough service and the food tastes a lot better than the processed crap from other supermarkets plus it's also Australian.
will not be buying from these guys ever again… they placed my order 2x milk and 2x juice in the heat outside in no esky or nothing - milk and juice went bad from the heat.
Not bad.. how much is delivery?
