Logitech Lift on sale for $72. I have this mouse and enjoy using it much more than I initially though I would. Transitioning from a traditional mouse was easy for me. Good for those with smaller hands like myself, as I found the Logitech MX Vertical to be a bit large.

It's a strange feeling to some to have their own deal upvoted automatically. Like self-liking your social media post. I understand that.

      • +6

i think the assumption is if you post the deal you do think its worth an upvote..?

        • +11

I think it's worthy for an upvote, but will leave it for the OzBargain family to decide :)

        • +1

i think the assumption is if you post the deal you do think its worth an upvote..?

Clearly this is the assumption, but it's the only website I know that does that.

          • @pizzaguy: true… but on the flip side, this is the only site / forum i've used since PALGN that had a upvote/downvote system.

        • +3

          Reddit does the same thing.

I don't even like my own comments.

      • +1

I noticed this awhile back (still new to OzB, long time listener, first time caller) & made a comment on someone's post & got negged lol. Back then I didn't realise it was an automatic thing, now this part has been confirmed.

        • Same thing happened to me when I first joined. New members gotta be careful not knowing every faculty of the site

      • There's a word for that - liketurbating.

        • That's terrible word but I accept it.

    • +5

I view upvoting my own deal as liking my own Facebook post, so have always revoked. You also get a badge if you revoke a vote lol

if you wear size L or more for washing up gloves, I would recommend the MX vertical. Its JUST the right size I felt.
Its my daily mouse at work now.

    • +6

That's a good reference. For me it would be size S (probably the perfect fit but a pain to get on/off) or M (easier to get on/off).

    • +4

Can confirm this is a good rule of thumb, but am getting odd looks from my coworkers.

      • +1

When Brian talked about getting on/off, that's not what he meant. Put it away son, and your coworkers will stop looking at it

Rose is also on sale, if anyone was looking for that. $11 higher than the ATL of $68, according to camelx3.

Mouse is good but the rubber coating wears out easily. Mine has shinny surface on areas where my thumb come in contact.

    • mine wears out at different place, its at the palm area below pinky

Prejudice against the lefties is alive and well, I see…

    $200 - It's nearly triple the price!!

    • +6

When you are right you are right

    • +3

im surprised there are lefties that didnt just adapt growing up..eg mouse, knife, wearing a watch etc.

source: i am a lefty haha

      • +1

Also a lefty. I'm left for some things and not others.
Right: Mouse, knife, sword, scissors, guitar
Left: Pen, fork, spoon, butter-knife, handgun, rifle, drinks, watch on left wrist.

        • +1

I’m a righty, but grew up using my left hand for the mouse. Been hanging out for a deal on the lefty version since the last righty deal haha. :’)

      • +2

I use my left hand for making fine movements (like cutting with a knife/scissors, writing, playing 5 on 1, lighting a lighter, throwing a frisbee) and my right hand when I need power, generally for sport (using a mouse, throwing a ball, punching, arm wrestling, kicking a ball, badminton rackets, baseball bat swinging, etc.)

      Hi-de-le-ho neighbourino!

    • +3

Im left handed ,but a life time of oppression has meant that I mouse with my right.

  • +3

One thing that is briefly mentioned in the description but should have a higher billing is that the clicking really is whisper quiet. Perfect if you need to use this in a shared office.

  • Is it a silent mouse as well?

  • Been using this as my daily driver for the last year. Fantastic mouse. Considering getting another one for casual point and click games for the pc….

  • a bit more for the cute pink! who will say no

2nd the Logitech MX Vertical Wireless Mouse if you have larger hands. Also, got this mouse, as directed by my physio, forearm pain has now gone.

  • +1

The promotional video made it look like a mouse for the yogaist.

A good comparison between this and the MX Vertical.

  • MX Master is king. Use that as a daily at work. I flick between the Logitech MX Ergo mouse as well

  • +1

I got this product delivered yesterday from Amazon. It is an excellent mouse for the price, and you can connect three devices. They have provided an optional Bluetooth dongle if your system still needs an inbuilt Bluetooth.

I used a similar vertical mouse (Perixx PERIMICE-719 Wireless 2.4Ghz Ergonomic Vertical Optical Mouse) It's cheaper for the last two years, but the scrolling could have been smoother compared to this. If you are a heavy mouse user, I strongly recommend this product, which you won't regret later.

  • Feels like the Logitech mices are getting sales these past few weeks. MX Master 3S soon?

    • That’s what I’m hoping.
      Fingers crossed

I've used this for over a year and I love it! Here's my personal take on it if people are having trouble deciding between Lift Vertical vs MX Vertical.

    Pros
-Comfortable to use for everyday work.
-Suitable for small-medium size hands where as the MX vertical is for medium to larger hands.
-The mouse clicks are quieter compared to the MX Vertical, although this preference may vary among users.
    -Lightweight compared to MX vertical.
-Programmable macros are available. However, I personally don't need this feature or use it.
-Conveniently switches between three devices, which proves extremely useful for individuals managing multiple computers or laptops without the need for a KVM switch, which -often compromises monitor refresh rates to 60Hz.

    Cons
-Utilises a Bolt USB receiver instead of the Unifying USB receiver, meaning if you already possess an Ergo K860 keyboard, you cannot connect both devices via a single USB receiver. You will need separate USB receivers (one Bolt receiver and one unifying receiver). Yes, there is Bluetooth on both devices but I find the connectivity is unreliable at times compared to using USB receivers. The MX vertical uses unifying receivers.
-Uses 1x AA battery whereas the MX vertical is rechargeable.

    • +4

      -Uses 1x AA battery

      That's a pro, not a con.

  • Purchased. Have always been curious as to what these might be like. Impulse buy!

    • +3

Scratch that. Cancelled! I didn't read everyone's comments correctly and I have big hands so this might not be the one for me.

  • +3

I'm still hoping to see the mx master 3s drop under 100 shortly… my current mouse jumps all over the screen and is soon to be thrown across the room

  • For owners of this mouse how is the middle click? I read some comments saying it's quite stiff and hard to press, do you agree?

    • +2

Force required is above average, but the main problem when I first started using it was that the scroll resistance was much lighter.

So you'll try to press it and if you're not pressing it at a very specific angle, the wheel will scroll instead and the link you were trying to middle click on will move.

I'm used to it now, but I thought it would be a deal breaker when I first started using it.

      • Thanks for the reply.

I imagine there certainly is a learning curve, in particular you will be pressing at a steep angle/left instead downwards. I'll probably give it a shot if I get the chance to grab one for really cheap, maybe a used one.

        • I'd say the first thing to do is to train your brain to lift your hand higher up when letting go of the mouse to put 2 hands on the keyboard to type something.

When I first started using vertical mice, that's one thing I noticed immediately. When you let go of the mouse and move your right hand to the keyboard, you end up knocking over the mouse because it is obviously taller than a conventional mouse.

The way to solve it is to consciously think of your right hand whenever you let go of the mouse (so your brain takes manual control) and carefully lift the hand a bit higher before moving over to the keyboard. Eventually your subconscious will learn the new habit and everything will go back to normal.

Another thing I'll also add is to search Facebook Marketplace and Gumtree around the wealthier areas of your city. There may be some people with disposable incomes who couldn't adapt to a vertical mouse and are selling it in near new condition.

I got mine from Randwick in Sydney. Made a detour on the way home and picked it up from a wealthy international student who is studying here. I've been using it for around 18 months.

Bluetooth reported the battery levels as 95% when I started and it's now at 55%. So the 2 year battery life seems to be true, may even be a conservative estimate.

Performance itself isn't great. The polling rate has clearly been cut down for the sake of battery life. You're supposed to leave it at work and never charge it.

        • no learning curve for me .. the Lift is really about 70 degrees (not completely vertical), so it's not much different.

    • It is a little bit, but I didn't think about it until you mentioned it.

  • Are there folks who use a slightly larger ergonomic mouse like the MX Vertical but on the cheaper side of things? Don't want to take my fancy mouse to work, haha.

    • +1

Don't have one, this looks okay-ish. From a reputable brand, though probably generic stuff, heaps of reviews to get a feel of quality and usability. But it doesn't support Bluetooth, 2.4GHz dongle requires a free USB-A port.

      Currently there's a 25% coupon, so $40 - $10 = $30.

      • +1

Yeah I had this - the Anko version - before the Logitech and it's OK, but Logi one is much nicer.

        • Thanks for the reply, McFly!

Did you have the Anko/Kmart one? Or the Anker one, from Amazon?

      • Pulled the trigger, Anker hasn't steered me very wrong in the past…

  • +2

I bought one of these, after finding myself having small spasms/twitches in my wrist when using the mouse. So much more comfortable.

  • i have one of these, but not a logitech one. feels very weird in the beginning, but ones you get use to it, you can't use anything else.

    • I use this on the right and normal one on the left…

      • +1

nice, i have an ambidextrous mouse on my left that is balanced on both sides, not like most where the side buttons are on the left hand side of the mouse to touch with your right thumb.

  • If someone needs a small mouse that’s silent I can recommend this …the poor man version

    • +2

At least suggest one that is vertical.

  • Have ordered one, but it just occurred to me that this mouse may not have a Darkfield sensor. Not sure if it's still a thing or so common that they all have it and therefore don't bother to mention.

  • I use the older version of this for work, great mouse.

  • Now that laptops do not have a USB port, its a menace taking the adapter everywhere between office and home.
i already have this mouse :) and is really good

    • Laptops don't have USB ports now???

  • I have it too. This is awesome.

  • I love spreadsheets so when I got this, it was a bit weird but within an hour I wondered how I didn’t have one sooner. My wrist hurts less for sure, just need to pad under your wrist so your pad u der your little finger doesn’t suffer so much.

    • hmm weird .. I dont have that issue when using the Lift for 13 hrs/day.

  • Quote "I have this mouse and enjoy using it much more than I initially though I would."

Same with me .. it is fantastic!

  • Have been using the Lift for a couple of days, it's a bit on the smaller side but overall no issues.

MX Vertical may be better size-wise, but don't feel like paying premium for a 5+ year mouse with limited features. Will consider if they ever release a mark 2.
