This is the 3rd post for the 4070 Ti. If you don't like them ignore them.

    • +4

They are all limited time deals though, this one ends 14/2. Plenty of 4080 deals at $1599 but was limited time, if you missed it cheapest now is $1699. It's more for people who didn't have the funds at the time and might now.

    • -1

Correct me if I am wrong 4070 ti super basically a fail 4080 chip and 4080 super just basically bin 4080, why people more existing buying 4080 super? In some game it even slower than 4080… If 4080 super have 24gb vram then yeah…

      • -2

4080 super should be $200 USD cheaper
why ppl buy it for more $$, can only be Nvidia fanboys

        • -1

If you look at the most recent steam survey, the Radeon fan boys are few and far between.

      • Yeah total garbage cards. Poor user experience.

Enjoy 2024 AAA games looking as they were designed to. Rubbish move by NVIDIA making capable card for 2024. Why can't they make card in 2024 capable for 2036? When I'll need 96gb of vram to play in 9k UltraWide 240hz ??

You capitalist bums NVIDIA! Making profits and not offering up 2024 cards at 1998 prices!! I paid 289$ dollars for a 3dfx voodooto to play quake in 768i in 1998!

would rather the zotac for the same money: https://www.ple.com.au/Products/664373/zotac-gaming-geforce-…

i didnt post that as a deal separately because I don't think $1349 is a good deal for this GPU.

    • +1

Same price at Centrecom but still worth mentioning due to shipping for some people. Only reason I posted this is due to it being a different model to the eBay listing and although i'd personally choose the Zotac others might pick this if building a minimalistic build.

Any issues fitting this into NR200P case?

    • I have a PNY 4070Ti (non-Super) in mine, and I had to strip the case down to the frame and remove one end to get it in. Happy with the card, runs cool+quiet.

  • +3

Wow the 4000 series still haven't become competitively priced

  • +3

In my opinion, not worth the $280 premium over a 4070Ti non-super also available at Centrecom:
    https://www.centrecom.com.au/galax-geforce-rtx-4070-ti-ex-ga…

    • +2

Agree. The frames per dollar are better with the 4070ti. The tiny improvement with the 4070ti super is not worth the premium.

      • +2

The 4GB VRAM tho might become important in couple of years.

        • If you're worried about VRAM then I'd go AMD.

          • +2

It's not always the size that matters, it's how you use it ;)

            • @lookingforadeal7: On 3080Ti, pretty sure it still rocks my 4K display, but not sure in couple of years that 12GB would be enough.

              • @[Deactivated]: Yes but unfortunately VRAM doesn't really mean future proof, depending what you consider future proofing.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5TPbEjhyn0s&ab_channel=Danie… Take this example, 4070 super 12gb vs 3090 24gb. This is testing at raw performance no DLSS and they are basically on par. Now take RRP on release into consideration. If this is a pattern and happens next series which the 50 series is rumoured to be much better than 40 series I wouldn't be happy with my purchase, basically forced to buy each new generation or you miss out. I know it's a bleak way of looking at it but it's eye-opening.

                • +1

@lookingforadeal7: Cool, will take a look tonight. My next card would probably be an used 4090 when 5090 comes out ;) That is if I utilise my 3080Ti enough. Too old to play games - oh wait my manager still does, so does my lead. Damn it!

                  • @[Deactivated]: Yeah that's smart hopefully it's good value at the time but I don't have my hopes super high that it'll be reasonably priced compared to a 5080 which will probably be better. For example used 3080 I can see for around $700-800. But a new 4070 is $829 ATM which comes with warranty and probably is on par with the 3080 or better.

                    • @lookingforadeal7: When the time comes lets see. haha.

              • @[Deactivated]: Well it's a 3 year old card now. And in 3 years it will old enough to justify a new one. Welcome to PC world

          • +1

@tanksinatra: Not sure why if you need more VRAM you need to buy an AMD card. For a little more, DLSS quality offers better performance. I always look at DLSS Quality performance and compare it to AMD Raster performance and then equate the cards. For everything else(driver, RT, cuda etc) nvidia wins anyway. So ya, if I need 16GB, i would buy a nv 16GB card, worth the extra money. OMMV.

          • @tanksinatra: If you want to play games with a decent feature then don't go amd

        • +2

if u need vram then get a 7900xt

          • @reader64: If I need VRAM, I will spend a bit more and get a 16GB nvidia card.

  • +4

really miss the $1499 4080 deal

    • +2

Keep an eye out, with 4080 super sitting at $1699 the only reason the 4080 isn't that price right now is to push the 4080 super sales as they are currently the same price.

    • -1

Especially when I learned that the 4080 Super’s power regulation was heavily nerfed compared to the 4080, meaning more potential for melted cables than before.

      • Any link for that?

      • What do you mean? Thought that was only on the FE cards where they reduced the VRMs from 13 to 11 and the memory phase 3 to 2. It actually reduced the watts under the Average Game Power.

  • +5

Should be the 4080 for that price.

    • +2

      I wish lol

    • +2

Considering how much its gimped compared to a 4090, yes.

  • man, i wish 7900 xtx was this price

      • ye I missed it, thought it may go lower so was holding

        • +2

My rule of thumb if it's $100 less than the ATL in the last 6 months then nab it if you've already been waiting, it might go less within 3 months but each month it loses it's value. Kind of same with the $1500 4080 deal recently, we'll see if it hits $1400 next few months but if it doesn't then that $1500 is less enticing.

  • What hashrate does this get mining Karlsen ?

    ebay AU $1,318.87 from futu
