  • I think title was edited by Mods?

Non Kogan First as posted works out as $1,379 less 8% = $1,268.68

    Kogan First would be $1359 less 8% = $1,250.28

    • It was our mistake and now corrected. Thanks.

      • No worries. Thanks for the edit and title formatting alvian

    I agree.

isnt rrp for these about $850 AUD, why would you pay this price for a grey import - some ppl have more $$ then sense

    • -4

You maybe confused it with normal LCD model?
In US OLED 1TB model cost $800+ USD

      • +2

        550 us for 500gb

        • Sorry my bad I was checking Amazon US which seems has inflated price compared with Steam store itself

    • +4

This is 1tb model which is $650usd + gst is about $1100 Aud. So about $150 mark up

Fair enough but you can get them cheaper in us , RRP is the normal sale, on special they will be less , still a lot of cash to pay for grey import with sketchy warranty and us plug

        • +3

Don't see why they would put these on special anytime soon given the demand.

I heard a lot of bad things about Tristar Online though but they are the sellers on BIG W as well. I would get it for that amount but worried because of the seller. Anyone have experience with them?

  • Is there any reason getting the 1TB version if you're planning to upgrade the SSD anyway?

    • Good question.
If you can get the SSD Cheap enough then not really. Keep in mind it's a short SSD not full size.

The MobileCiti deal for the 512GB is $1,133.10 and the 1TB above is $1,268.68. — So roughly $ $135.58 for the extra 500GB.
Probably a better deal if you get a Steam Deck with a smaller SSD to start.

A M.2 2230 SSD @ 1TB can go for as little as ~ $130 (ballpark off staticice, ex shipping, didn't check if with/without DRAM).
And +/- $30 for an SSD enclosure to clone the drive as well.
