thank you carti, very cool 🙏

  • +7

Can pickup or delivery + service fees going to kill us?

    • +3

I can see the extra fees make it not worth it.

    • +6

delivery only as I just tried.

  • -1

Pickup possible. I have used Pickup for this deal, 2 Tacos for 99c. Looking forward to this deal as well. Any idea if it will be applicable on Burrito bowls as well?

    • +2

Wrong. Code does not work for pickup.

    • +1

Unfortunately, this promotion does not work for Pickup orders.

  • +1

so is the trick to order just after sunday midnight for pick-up later?

    • +1

      Doesn’t work

      • Same, not working

      • I accidentally forgot to enter the promo code and the order went through using my referral credit.

Thank you fellow Ozbargainer who used my referral code for my dinner.

  • Do you need to be dashpass customer or not?

  • Still not working

  • How do I schedule a meal? It only shows the breakfast menu.

    • You'll have to wait until after 10 or 11am for the normal menu to come up

      • +1

No there’s a drop down at the top to chise the timings. Normal menu from 10:30 am onwards

        • I just tried it and said unfortunately this current promotion is not available

  • Still not working. Maybe it only works from 10:30am?

  • +2

It's working now but only valid for delivery orders.

  • I just got a yummy breakfast burrito :) Perfect timing from the ozbargain daily email!

  • How big are their burritos anyway? From the pictures I'm seeing they look very small.

    • They're big. Easily enough for one meal.

    • Not that big but good enough for one meal.

  • +3

I just placed my order. Coupon only works for deliveries. $8 delivered not bad.

  • Does anyone ever feel that the extra chicken is barely any extra chicken… Can't even tell the difference

    • +1

Theyre so stingy with chicken these days. Its why i stopped going to guzman. I use to eat it multiple times per week

      • Also noticed this

  • +1

Worked for me, scheduled for lunch delivery

  • +4

    Subtotal 17.1
    Delivery fee 4.99
    Service fee 2.05
    Total with discount 12.04

    Lol

  • Does it work with bowls?

Does it work with breakfast items?

For those in QLD it’s still showing the breakfast menu…. So promo could be over by the time it is 10.30am here?

    • Use the dropdown to select 10:30am and onwards. I'm in Qld and you can order now

      • Thanks I couldn’t find that option on iPhone App but found it using web browser

  • $6.66 delivered for me, due in 30 mins - Better feed than the $10 I would've spent at the bakery !
    Thanks OP :D

  • +2

$6.03 for a veggie burrito delivered. Thanks OP! :)

    • How did you get only a $1.03 service fee?

      • Veggie burrito was $17.10 so 12% of that is $2.05 but with dashpass you get 6% service fee or $1.03.

  • $5 burrito + $2.23 service fee = $7.23 which to their credit is still much cheaper than the normal $14.70 for a Cali burrito.

For some reason I didn't have to pay delivery, but I would be very mad if I did, because that would be another $5 for a deal that doesn't need to be delivered at all. Pickup is disabled for this deal apparently.

    • What about the delivery fee??

      • +1

Some people have the fee, but I didn't somehow. No idea why.

  • +1

    $11 delivery fee LOL

    • $12.99 for me but free with Dashpass.

  • +1

Breakfast burrito with guac $7.91 with delivery. Absolutely delicious and total bargain.

  • Thanks very much.

For the Beef delivered for $7.72 AUD

I originally ordered with guacamole but the total was $12.xx

So tried it without the guacamole. For $5 less I can live without the guacamole.

I forgot that my last payment method was Afterpay (must have been an Afterpay promo) so I will be paying $1.93 AUD per fortnight for the next 4 fortnights.

    • Do not finance a burrito

      • normally I wouldn't but I didn't realise this payment option was on the order page.

I was expecting the payment details to be on the next page.

  • Ordered for tomorrow night hope it comes lol

  • Never ordered this early before hope there are drivers in my area..

  • +1

$9.50 for a burrito with guac delivered. Not bad!

    • How are you getting no delivery or service fee or is the value and cost the burrito less than the fees?

    • Ditto!

  • RIP anyone in WA.

  • +1

I managed to get the Cali Buritto (Chicken, Spicey) for $7.28 delivered.

Add a normal Buritto, then add coupon GYG5, then add a Cali Buritto, remove the normal Buritto and discount shows at $14.00.

I also got free delivery for my first purchase!

    1x Cali Burrito (Mains)
    • Grilled Chicken
    • Spicy

    Subtotal A$19.00

    Delivery Fee A$0.00
    Service Fee A$2.28
    Tip A$0.00
    Discounts -A$14.00

    Total Charged A$7.28

    • +1

i got a cali burrito without having to do any of that, just added it and discount applied.

      • looks like it works on that one too

    • Delivery charge goes back on when I remove the regular burrito

  • $9.04 delivered for me. And I have "discounted" DoorDash credit.
    Thanks, OP!

  • Not saying it is a bad deal, but if you don't have Dashpass, you will be looking at something like this:

    Delivery Fee: $7.99
    Service Fee: $1.79
    Small Order Fee: $3.00

I wonder what will be the next FEE?
    Monday Fee?
    Fuel Fee?
    Walking Fee?

    • +1

      Fee fee

    • I just want fees that taste like real milk.

  • +2

my local store turned off delivery. :'(

    • Same

    • Same and deal doesn't apply for pickup

  • +1

I ordered one. If you have doordash pass, add an item to make the total before the discount above $20. It will give you free delivery. The total that I paid for 1 burrito, 1 hard taco and service fees was ~$14

  • Made a new account and scheduled an order for cali burrito for dinner. $7.23 total (free delivery with a new DoorDash account).

  • Only really worth it if you got dashpass

    • Just make a new account and you get free delivery

      • Last time I tried to make a new account it got suspended… :(

  • I had 99c delivery for some reason so this is a cheap lunch. Thank you.

  • Get the total to $20 to save on delivery fee, add guacamole, sour cream, whatever works.

Just over $10 delivered for me, paid with discounted credit of course.

  • Came out to be $6.03 with service charge (got Dashpass for free with previous ozbargain deal)

  • Thank-you OP.

Delivered to my door a GYG breakfast burrito.
    Was delicious.
$5 + all the fees ended up being $9.60.

    This was Rochedale Qld.

  • Anyone knows why is the discount valued at $13.6? The normal burrito is $17.10 on the app, the mini is $11.90…

    Cali Burrito $18.60
Delivery Fee A$3.99 —> A$0.00 (not sure why)
    Service Fee A$2.23
    Discount -A$13.60
    Dasher Tip A$0.00
    Total A$7.23

    • +1

13.6 to make the burrito exactly $5. So it may be more discount for the Cali and less for the normal. But it works out to be $5 regardless of which burrito it is

  • Delivery fee $5.99
    Service fee $2.05

Ends up being $13.04 delivered, not really worth it imo

  • this guy is putting out cool music and posting deals, incredible

  • can you just make a new account and the pass for free again?

    • i just made a new account with same number and it gave me free delivery

  • +1

    Subtotal: $18.60
    Delivery Fee: $11.99
    Service Fee: @.23
    Discount: -$13.60
    Total: $19.22

I mean… My "$5 Burrito" is $19.22… DashPass is prob a requirement for this bargain!!!

    • Same here.

    • My delivery fee would have been 99 cents without DoorDash - really depends on your location

  • +1

I thought this was a great deal until I now remember how bad these services can be. My burrito's been sitting on the bench at GYG for 45 minutes and it's a 5-minute drive away. Sydney CBD

    • Same, immediately remember why I've ditched doordash lol.

    • food delivery drivers don't work in the rain

  • Your order from Guzman y Gomez was cancelled because your Dasher experienced an unexpected issue during the delivery. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.

    • Sydney?

      • Yep! Just when the storm hit

  • Free delivery (I believe since its my first order) $7 burrito :)!!

  • Thanks OP
Set a scheduled order for later.
    Dinner sorted for 6 bucks

    • I couldn't get the scheduled order to work sadly, so got one delivered now and going to reheat it for dinner.

  • +1

    "Your Order has been delivered"

Nowhere in sight, contact support "We'll give you a resolution in 30 mins"

    Sigh

    • +1

Timer went down to 0 and reset to 60.

10/10 food experience when sick with covid.

  • How does anyone deliver this when I'm paying a 99 cents delivery fee???!!! Are they working for free?

    • Subsidised by doordash and probably the restaurant too.

      • Oh I see…But either way, this model of business honestly dont make it seem like a sustainable industry

  • Pro Tip I set my delivery address to the local Guzman Y Gomez restaurant ( in my case its connected to an AMPOL Servo) I was thus able to avoid expensive delivery fees, not the service fee but the delivery fee at least.

    • avoid expensive delivery fees

Does this mean no delivery fee? or cheaper e.g. 99c delivery in your case?

        • Well you've got free shipping anyway so distance wouldn't have mattered

      • I did the same. $0 delivery fee.
Ordered Cali burrito with shredded beef for $7.95
