        Or its just the new standard price for the kit due to low uptake? $139/mo is a little steep for most, seen many comments suggesting as such on their twitter ads.

    How do they ask you to confirm if you are a home owner or renter? I just arrived in rural NZ and they’ve reduced prices there too, but better if you’re an owner (which I am not.)

      They don't have to confirm whether you are a home owner or a renter. They don't care. It just means that permenant installation is going to be a hell of a lot harder if you are a renter.
