That I did not know. Looking at their prices back then, HT was like the unwanted fat kid in the family. Their prices were just ridiculous.

Also I did purchase a new laptop but was suprised no verification of this was needed. If paying an extra 25 makes you sleep better at night then power to you :-)That's exactly what it is whether those that negged the comment like it or not.
Don't forget that you are being provided with a unique product key i.e. It is traceable back to the pc registered if Microsoft wants to go to the effort so using bogus names etc and throwaway email addresses doesn't guarantee anonymity. Will they bother? Who knows… I don't care. Just pointing it out that they could and from my perspective it isn't worth the risk.
I tend to agree with bean counter that if you are not eligible for the $14.99 under the terms and conditions of the contract you are entering with Microsoft then you should probably steer clear of the $14.99 offer.
Same as earlier Officeworks deal. Not surprising considering they're the same company. Also delivery is $4 more from HT.
