I was looking for an electric oven recently and they had by far the cheapest price advertised, other retailers couldn't match it. For the most part I agree, bit once in a while you will find a bargain.
For example, look at this oven: http://www.thegoodguys.com.au/buyonline/Chef_80_Litre_Electr…

They are already by far the cheapest, and if you take another $75 off for 'store credit', they're well ahead. Not sure if items "as advertised" can be bought online or not, however.
I have noticed that their online prices are often worse than their in-store ticket prices, not to mention negotiated prices. I have never felt inclined to buy from their website.
Are you implying this isn't a great deal?

I hope you're being sarcastic. They can't even sell these things as doorstoppers.
This time they excluded Apple products from the promotion, previously you could buy ipad and get store credit back, which was really cool.
No deal.
I was looking to buy a cheap laptop from them…. the Asus 501A.
Three weeks ago it was $384 online (I have the print out in front of me so not mistaken), but now online its marked as 'clearance' at $549. Even with this bullcrap promo at $75 store credit, its still $474…. almost $100 MORE than what it was a few weeks ago.Shop around and negotiate direct in store, because this isnt an OzBargain in my book.
Agree, the war between customers and business never end
I think you missed a 30% off in Asus laptops at TGG that expired recently. It was posted on Ozbargain. That could be the reason for the price difference
Is this a good deal? http://www.thegoodguys.com.au/buyonline/Samsung_NP530U3C_13.…
Information from this site http://www.myshopping.com.au/PR--427694_Samsung_NP530U3C_Not… would suggest that it is. HTH
With the $75 store credit it brings the effective price down to $569, that is if you need to buy something else from TGG and can make use of the $75 store credit. That is a pretty good deal for a ultrabook, almost worthy of it's own post
Bought a 10kg Samsung washing machine from them today. Their online price was one of the cheapest I could find via a web search, so decided to go with them to get the $200 store credit (which will cover the kid's xmas Ipod) & I'm also claiming the $125 cashback card being offered by Samsung, so it seemed a reasonable deal in total.
Do they accept gift cards for this offer?
Disregard just found out no gift cards accepted :(
Not sure if I'm missing something in the conditions… but I just bought the Asus TF300-T with Dock for $529 which is already a decent price.
If I get the $75 store credit, this will be a bargain in my book. Fingers crossed.http://www.thegoodguys.com.au/essendon/Asus_Asus_Tablet_TF300T_32GB_Dark_Blue__Dock_TF300T(32G+D)-BL
Im sure you could go in store and negotiate to get that $1000 item for less than $800 anyway.
Nothing against you, thanks for pointing it out. The Good Guys just have stupid promotions like this and buy one full RRP and get one half off.
