To be eligible customers must make an online purchase at www.thegoodguys.com.au of $200 or more in one transaction during the Promotion Period excluding Apple, ASKO, Miele, Neff, Jennair and any other Agency Brands, and Gift Card purchases. Eligible customer transactions will automatically be registered to receive the store credit offer. Store credits are valid until Wednesday 23rd January 2013. A limit of 1 Store Credit will be issued per customer. The value of the store credit issued will be dependent on spend. Spend $200 or more=$25 store credit, spend $500 or more=$75 store credit. Spend $1000 or more=$200 store credit.

    Im sure you could go in store and negotiate to get that $1000 item for less than $800 anyway.

    Nothing against you, thanks for pointing it out. The Good Guys just have stupid promotions like this and buy one full RRP and get one half off.

    This time they excluded Apple products from the promotion, previously you could buy ipad and get store credit back, which was really cool.

    No deal.

    I was looking to buy a cheap laptop from them…. the Asus 501A.
    Three weeks ago it was $384 online (I have the print out in front of me so not mistaken), but now online its marked as 'clearance' at $549. Even with this bullcrap promo at $75 store credit, its still $474…. almost $100 MORE than what it was a few weeks ago.

    Shop around and negotiate direct in store, because this isnt an OzBargain in my book.

      I think you missed a 30% off in Asus laptops at TGG that expired recently. It was posted on Ozbargain. That could be the reason for the price difference

    Bought a 10kg Samsung washing machine from them today. Their online price was one of the cheapest I could find via a web search, so decided to go with them to get the $200 store credit (which will cover the kid's xmas Ipod) & I'm also claiming the $125 cashback card being offered by Samsung, so it seemed a reasonable deal in total.

    Not sure if I'm missing something in the conditions… but I just bought the Asus TF300-T with Dock for $529 which is already a decent price.
    If I get the $75 store credit, this will be a bargain in my book. Fingers crossed.
