    Albo Teal

    😲

Automatic $135 strange yellowish orange accent markers green dial

  • Alba is a brand that interests me, but unfortunately there isn't heaps of content out there about their watches because they're only available in certain markets

    • Apparently they're even older than Seiko's other budget brand, Pulsar. Remember them?
It appears Pulsar were out-performing the dearer stuff, so they axed it for Australia.

Alba serves Seiko's need to fill a price-point gap. From what I've seen and read, they also widened the quality gap to favour Seiko.
In other words, Pulsar were too good for their own good!

      • Interesting, I thought they had axed Pulsar altogether, didn't realise it was region-specific

Orient also isn't sold here, and would bridge the gap well between Alba and Seiko. But they might have a similar issue where Orient would cannibalise sales of Seiko 5 etc.

  • Colour combination is a bit weird and setting the day is a chore on automatics.

Looks like a citizen promaster knock off, although generic enough. Just on that note, loving eco-drives these days.

Pretty thick cases by the looks of it?

  • Seems expensive for an Alba

  • I'd just keep a look out on here and the weekend flash sales for Starbuy, some good deals and better choices going around.
That eco-drive crono CA7040-85E looked awesome for $149, and plenty of other deals..

This watch seems a bit under-spec for the price (no idea what a 'wearer movement' is, and 100m not the best for a diver).

    • i have 4 eco-drives

repair request for 2 = no parts, 2 x 50% coupons to buy direct from citizen au

      2 repairs quotes = 50% rrp

      you keep praising eco-drives?

2 are over 10yrs old 2 are J810 recent movements running slow

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/824238

i would give you 1 coupon for $10 to buy your eco-drive (buy new models discount works out better than online sale)

      https://www.citizenwatches.com.au/collections/eco-drive/prod…

      online

      • Geez that's very unlucky, what are you doing to them. Are they entry level ones or expensive models?

Not really, I've got a whole range of automatics, Seiko solars, eco-drives, Ali express homages and other quartz watches Casios and Swiss watches.

Go the Albo and let us know!

        • 1 is world time wheel 2 crowns 100m titanium running slow

i tried google search no image or model number on back

          the others are entry level

        • the world timer also a GMT so you know the value

keeping it (i am a shaman gave it to 95yo dad so he can make pass 100)

          • @pissedpoor: I see. Yes GMTs are popular at the moment and not cheap.

Not sure if the one you linked is the one you got, but you'd hope the warranty covers it. I think most are 3 years but f you register online you get another 2y.

I only have two (now 3 eco-drives) so not a massive fanboi as such.

            - BN0241-59W

Hopefully citizen sort it out for you but may be worth buying a new of for $400 instead of repairing for $300

  • Bought one with sunbeam multi chopper free delivery.

    Waiting to see the colours

  • $99.95 to become member

Did a dry-run for this Alba watch, same as posted but a skillful integration of gold bezel on silver case (IMO), for just $12 more.

    On cart page, bottom-RHS:
Not a member? You can join for free and save $99.50.

Not sure how legit or the conditions, just FYI maybe a saving there.

    • i also saw that but I like colourful (already have a Black/Gold accent Invicta Jason Taylor - Grid Iron with 99 standing in for "9")

i bought using android app offering free membership on sign-in . Thank you

      The Sunbeam MultiChopper 66$ + $144 = $210 free postage

If I bought the $156 would not have spare changes to buy Powerball ticket

      • I am 58yo but still a sucker for childish colourful blingy items

i left my car windows open hot summer day and lost black PVD Darth Vader Invicta GrandDiver 300m with limited edition number 1357 / 1976 (Star Wars release year i believe

        it was nearly 300g beast

Something that burly, I suppose your arm needed a rest. Did you strap it to the gearknob or something?

SW Ep4 debuted 1977. My oldest related thing is a length of Vymura wallpaper from my childhood. Framed now.

  • everything okay however it has raised bezel guards 3-6 and 9-12

i don't have a seiko with that features and don't think this is a copy of citizen promaster

    anyone comment please

    • Shocking

      Drilled LUGS

      • Just like a rare Seiko 5 Sports of the 80s - 90s

        • the silicone soft like rubber band. swapped a navy/teal/navy Nato and it's proper desk Diver
