Your example is still live, someone else can still use it to check out.

    • +2

yes i am aware of it, all good i have bought what i need, feel free to use it.

  • Bought 2 units to replace the A8 from Optus deal previously.

I just unboxed my Samsung Tab A8 from the same Optus deal before my overseas travel last month.

Any good reason to replace A8 with this model?

    • +1

A8 only 4GB Ram, very slow. Optus A8 has 4G sim slot but i dont need sim slot. Mainly at home with WiFi.

    STOP BEFORE YOU BUY

    https://www.telstra.com.au/tablets/tablets-on-a-plan/samsung…

$379 OUTRIGHT WITH LTE/SIM CARD if 64GB is enough, tablets with LTE resale for more in the future

    • +5

      this ram is 4gb only

      • +1

hard to decide. more ram yes but that one has 5G which is rare usually older lte tablets are 4G only

        • +3

Always chose more ram. 4GB was too little RAM for android in 2018.

          • @tor: I was rocking a Tab A 10.1 with 2GB RAM in 2019. BUT a lot of apps force close on it now since the Android update. I reckon 4gb is ok today per my post below.

          • @tor: I bought the a9 plus 8GB about 3-4 weeks ago. Sooooo glad i got the 8GB.

Sales guy even made mention when picking up cc, that he sees so kany ppl come back with 4gb tablets in general ..

  • So the coupon works with price matches over chat?

    • +3

dont mention coupon just do price match they give you link to buy and secretly you enter the code after you quit the chat

Awesome been waiting for a deal on this thanks! Got it for $335 with the Perks code and then paid with gift cards… this is the way.

Anyone have any feedback of A9+ performance for media consumption? (i.e. for taking this thing on a plane for long flights vs using a phone). Difficult to find proper reviews as this isn't available in the US as yet.

Bought the 8GB/128 version in December via the Mobileciti offer at OW's. The 128GB version is fine for browsing and streaming and light gaming. I found the 64GB version laggy and not snappy enough similar to previous A series tablets from my tests at OW's. It does DEX but can't connect to a monitor from my tests.
For around $300 your going to struggle to find anything better in my opinion.

  • +1

how is this for casual browsing, banking ? want to get this for my wife to use as a personal computer.

    • +1

keep in mind Dex on this tablet does not output/dock to external displays (just flagging incase you had this kind of usage in mind)

I got the A9+ 4GB RAM version from the previous ebay deal for just under $250 and have been using it for a month approx. Works fine for browsing / X / Insta / FB /YouTube, even with two apps in pop up view. Not laggy and much better than my Tab A 10.1 2019 with 2GB RAM. I think you can get by without the 8GB RAM unless you're a heavy multi tasker or use other apps which require more RAM. Battery will last approx 3.5 days with 7 hours screen on time.

Note this is using the tablet natively, not with DEX.

Anyone have any thoughts on this vs say the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE? Primary purpose would be media consumption…videos, browsing etc.

    • Interested to hear any comments on this too.

    • +1

Anyone have any thoughts on this vs say the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9+? lol the A and S series with price should tell you the answer. The A7 or A8 are capable to watch videos and browsing. It's a matter of speed and response time. With A8 4GB ram, it will take up to 3 seconds to response after click. If you have budget, then definitely go for S series.

      Spec comparison A9+, S9 FE and S9+

Anyone used these for Remote Play ps5/xbox at all ?

  • Looking at tablets for my 10year old son, he'd mainly use it for Roblox, would this run it with no issues?

    • yeah mate, my boys have roblox on older samsung Tab A and run fine.

      • Thanks very much appreciated! I was looking at iPads 10th gen which cost way more but only have 4GB RAM, this has double that.

JB actually will price beat, you have to ask to price beat or they will simply match. I guess this also depends on who you are talking to at JB

    • tried 2 reps (Jasmine and Blake), both said only price match with competitors. wish i can get further lower

      • Same, recently tried to get them to price beat a keyboard but the rep said they only price match.

  • can it play 4k mkv over wifi? my ipad does

    • My wife's old LG V30 can played 4k mkv through HDMI without any issue. Just the audio codecs works with VLC only, but that's more software issue easily solve than hardware.

The S695 seems slight quicker than the S830, so I would say yes. I just bought the tablet and I hope I'm not wrong.

This or the Xiaomi pad thing from Ali?

  • Hi all, based on the mobil citi deal at end of last year is this a good deal or should we be holding off for sub 300 deals???

    • mobi citi deal was an error deal. some were lucky to get delivered but majority refunded based on the comments. you definitely can hold for another error from other seller maybe…

  • Sd 695 for $367 ? 👀

    8gb/128 gb model

Bought from Bing Lee Ebay when this was posted. Still haven't even sent it so I got that going for me.. =D…

    • are they normally that slow to ship out orders ?

  • I know this is 18days old for the OP but this might be useful for someone.

The Code Giveaway Megathread had no 'active codes that I could find and thus I could not get the '$337 + $5.99 Delivery or $0 with C&C' deal.

    • JB Hi-Fi did do a price match for $367,
    • Amazon(amazon.com.au) $367,
      this sale was still active,
    • Bing Lee(binglee.com.au) $367,
became out of stock (OOS) overnight and was no use,
    • Bing Lee Ebay(ebay.com.au) $344.98 with coupon TOP6JAN, Excludes: Northern Territory, QLD Far North, QLD Regional, WA Regional, WA Remote
this seemed to still be active but I don't think the TOP6JAN code was active anymore.

Called OW and they confirmed they should enact price beat guarantee but I would have to check at my local store.
Went to the 4118 outlet of OW and once they confirmed it was 'Amazon.au' and the online seller had current stock enacted their price beat guarantee making it $367 - 5% = $348.65.

    • I just had a look at Amazon, but it has it for $477 now 😢
