Great price, I got mine for ~A$32 last year.

Note: this is more of a Thrower Flashlight (Long Range) than a Flood Light (Short Range).

    • how long does this last in your experience?

do you know of any that has both functions(long + short) if that exists?

      • how long does this last in your experience?

Haven't used it long enough to drain the battery. I prefer to carry a flood light (ie. Sofirn SC31 Pro, Wuben C3 or Convoy S2+)

do you know of any that has both functions(long + short) if that exists?

Not that I'm aware of, since it's the cone + lens that differentiate between short and long throw.

      • Sofirn aren’t prone to exaggeration so their estimates are probably pretty good: 5.5 hours on medium (250m throw), 400 hours on moonlight mode, just under 2 hours on turbo, although it probably steps down from turbo after a few minutes.

There are “zoomies” that let you adjust your beam between throw and flood, but it’s generally more of a compromise than you want, and flashlight folk will tell you to just buy two lights. If its been a decade or two since you bought a torch, just get a nice flood torch and it’ll probably still throw further than the maglite you remember from the 1900s :)

Runtime graphs on 1lumen's review page

Neat little torch but there are many better for edcs. Max lms lasts about 2m max and the head gets very hot - see 1lumen's graphs.

      • Thanks for all the replys, I might get the IF25A for $3USD more probably

      • I got one from Olight that has both. The Marauder mini but it's big and costly.

  • I'm getting AU$24.36

  • Great price. This is for the SFT40 LED which is the one you want for budget throw.

    UI isn't the best though.

Anyone know how long you can run this on different settings, not from a battery perspective but ramping?

  • thank you

  • +1

It can only produce max 537lm after 10 minutes according to the review https://1lumen.com/review/sofirn-if22a

  • Nice torch

  • says it cannot deliver to ACT, if I search for it on Ali, that very store sells it for AU$32.66.
oops. update - it says so for a black torch but silver can be delivered. thanks OP.

  • Excellent flashlight for the money, but do not it's a long distance light with spot beam and not great indoors.

  • I'm new to torches and not sure what's the main difference between this type of torch with the one I purchased before Christmas. Any guide on this please?
Also, the one I bought gets really hot in head after few second; is this torch the same? is this normal at all?

    • +1

This torch is a thrower, the one you have is more of a flood type and yes its normal for them to get hot when using full power.
There are lots of detailed reviews on youtube for this particular model.

TS21 is a better all round torch imo and can be improved with temp modification to avoid massive ramping down (there are online guides on how to change the settings).

In very simple terms: most high lm (~1000+) torches on high/turbo will get quite hot around the head as heat is dissipated from the LEDs pulling higher amps. Drivers control all this for you. The barrel shouldn't get hot.

IF22A has a really big head which looks cute and which helps with the beam distance and heat dissipation - so the barrel doesn't get hot even on turbo.

  • If you want to change this torch to a flood flashlight and have the best of both worlds, you can do what I did and buy a flashlight diffuser. I bought the Nitecore NFD40 Diffuser. It fits great and also protects the lens.

This works great on my parent's 5 acres.

Worked real well when a crazy neighbour started to shine their torch into my parent's house from the fenceline. I think I won the flashlight war that night.

  • Our of stock

    I think it’s with a different seller ,
