Bought this for my daughters' paper crafting and pretend food making activities. It actually seems to work quite well and will accept paper a bit over 100mm wide (half the shorter width of an A4 sheet). Shredded strips are about 4mm wide if that matters. I foresee much "spaghetti" in my paper meal eating future.
Colour is "whatever you get" if have it delivered.

Only a danger if your kids' fingers about 2 or 3mm thick. Also doubtful that it would be strong enough to eat your credit card, but I can't however guarantee that they couldn't shred a $50 note with this
