  • Love your work as always

      You’re awesome Chris :D

      • I went to that link and unable to find the SSD in the spec. Thanks.

        • It’s in the support section and at the bottom there’s options to upgrade the SSD.

  • +3

Im building my first ground up PC now, with a whisker better specs (little things like 1TB SSD vs 500GB, 3600MHz RAM vs 3200MHz, B550 board vs B520) but essentially the same build, and this is honestly cheaper, and with no hassle of researching, buying, building, setting up etc.

IMO this is a banger, well done.

Funny 2/3 of PC cost now days is the Graphics card, as the base PC is $600, and the card is $1200 on top.

    • Cheers legend!

    • I'm contemplating doing a similar specs with a white build. Where are you sourcing your parts from?

      • +1

I went for white case aswell, but black inside.. Here's my PCpp, i bought CPU/MB from Computer Alliance, and the rest from Amazon, everything $636 delivered.

It excludes Kingston NV2 1TB that i got from JW for $55 a few months back, and the GPU…

I have a used $90 1050ti out of my optiplex that i've fooled around with GTA 4 and GTA online during the covid PS5 shortage.. but now im so tired of waiting for RDR2 60fps patch for PS5 that I'm going to buy a suitiable modern GPU and make it happen, i wasnt looking as high as 4070ti, more 4060ti for ATL of $499.. or a used 6700XT.. 1440p>4k HUB settings with DLSS Quality.

        • +1

          Great setup.
It looks like you've utilised your budget quite well.

  • +4

might be worth waiting on the new super cards…few more weeks

  • Not bad. The boxing day techfast system with a 7500f/4070ti for $1788 + delivery was better value (faster cpu on am5 platform, 1TB ssd, better motherboard and psu), but sold out now.

As pointed out by others, Ada is about to get a refresh too, although you would have to be a real optimist to expect overall pricing to drop substantially.

Fingers crossed on a good price! We are hoping the same :).

    Hmm tempting.

I think I might wait for the 4070ti super announcement on Tuesday to see what happens. Hopefully comes in same price as the 4070ti currently, but with 16gb vram. That would enable a budget 4K build (if using DLSS) at a much cheaper price point than the 4080

    • The Ti OG is woefully underpowered, the Ti S will fix things where it should have been on 1st release.
I have a 3070Ti and could not in anyway shape or form justify upgrading to any newer 4XXX series due to $R, perf and VRAM.
I do a ton of editing on Davinci Resolve, 12GB isn't enough, 192 BUS isn;t either, 2 things that will be rectified in the S variant of the 4070Ti.

    • Also waiting on the 4070ti refresh. Hopefully it has 16gb.

Any deals on a lower end build with a 3060/3070 at around the $1000 price range?

    • Those GPUs are EOL, closest would be our current 4060 deal. That’d be best value for under $1000 :).

  • Do you offer this config with any white cases? Thanks.

    • Yes, DK361 white is available. It’s a very nice case!

  • Hello, is it possible to upgrade the CPU to the 7000 series?

  • At this rate I think every ozb-er has this PC lol.

    (Looks at my nebula PC)

  • I'm a computer noob but looking at buying a PC similar to this.

How does it compare to this sale at CentreCom? I know the graphics card is different but I'm not super fussed with having the best card - will be using it more for video/photography and light ai art, with the possibility for computational biology once I get more experienced.

    Thanks

    • Just depends on your priorities, I'd say it's better you go with the later-generation platform that you linked for your needs. For that price point we can achieve something similar but with a 4070 Ti instead of a 4060 Ti.

  • Why does the price on your site list it as $2228?

    • Because you need to put the "OZB_ZEPHYR_SPECIAL" code in checkout to bring the price down :).

  • Just wanted to ask a question, been out of the computer game and currently using gtx 1070, was just looking for something to occasionally game (dota 2 and overwatch 2) and some light photo/video editing, would there be any rec upgrades needed?

    Thanks for your assistance!

    • This system is well more than enough for those needs, I'd recommend just an aftermarket tower cooler like the AK400 and more storage for editing and games.
