  • any idea how long this will last with a moden and voip phone attached? roughly

    • Depending how many Watts are being drawn. Roughly 2.5 hours for appliances drawing 25W.

  • The features look nice, but I've never heard of CyberPower.

    • They've been around for quite some time now.

      • Do they have good rep in UPS?

  • +1

    Is anyone else thinking Microserver?

    • Microservers are around 40W draw

  • Can we pick up? A lot of branches on your site - surely we can pick up there?

    • Unfortunately these are the last of our stock, the branches have sold out and these are all based in our bulk warehouse. So at the moment pickup is not possible. Let me know your location and I can see if I can organise for a pickup to be arranged at your local store if you would like to go ahead with an order.

      • I am in Port Melbourne, very close to your South Melbourne branch. Let me know thanks.

        • There is now an option in the checkout and cart for Pickup In-Store. Please select this option and then specify the store you would like to pick up from in the order comments at the final stage of checkout. We will let you know once they are available for pickup via email. :)

        • Bought!! +1 - waiting for your email :)

      • I'm in Newcastle any chance to pick one up?

  • For those who might be interested this is compatible with Synology NAS.
Previous 'cheap' USB UPS I have seen here have not been.

  • Does the battery have a date on it?

    • The main reason UPS units and car jump starter packs come up on special is in order to shift stock because of the 'battery needing to be charged' issue. Beyond three months without charging all lead acid batteries (even new ones) are likely to end up significantly and permanently compromised to one degree or another.
There should be a 'charge battery by' sticker on the box somewhere. If it's missing expect an expensive battery replacement sooner rather than later. You may in fact get a nasty surprise on the very first blackout with any significant wattage of equipment connected.

      • Yes I know, that is why I am asking!

        • I assumed that. The above was written for the benefit of others who may not appreciate the importance of a date sticker. In any case the rep seems to have disappeared…

  • looking at the back of the unit on the photos the sockets look like American plugs. I know some high end servers have there own plugs .. but is this just due to the wrong image - or do I need to buy different cable to connect devices?
