  • normal JB sell price is $99, if you can wait.

    • Unfortunately this is the best available price at the moment as my Corsair just broke this morning

  • is brown switches the loudest? what's it like compared to razer brown switches? - not too familiar with these switches

    • I think the blue is the loudest. I am using this keyboard right now.

    • I've used a various switches over the years and I reckon Browns are the best

Best to click the product tag Logitech G512 and read comments from previous deals. Example user experience and opinions of this keyboard.

      • I'd be wary of getting more Logitech gear…. Had issues with the G910 keyboard and G703 mouse…. Dont get me wrong amazing to use when they were working… but Logitech needs to stand by their products if they want to charge premium prices… Way too many known issues with their products that they just ignore and continue to sell.

      The general convention is:

      • "Red" switches: Most quiet, with no obvious indication that you hit the actuation point (where the switch registers the key press).
      • "Brown" switches: Also quiet, but designed to produce a tactile "bump" that you can feel when you hit the actuation point.
      • "Blue" switches: They're deliberately made to produce an audible "click" when you hit the actuation point. They typically also require you to use more force to hit the actuation point.

Of course, all of them will still produce quite a lot of noise if you press the keys so hard it goes all the way down ("bottoming out"). Once you start getting used to mechanical keyboards, you learn to avoid bottoming out as much. You can install silicone o-rings to help you with this.

Also, depending on a variety of factors, a mechanical keyboard may also produce a twang (or "ping") sound as the keys pop back up. You can mitigate this with a desk pad.

      • Good Intel recon squad

I like the low profile Razer linier switches best

  • Same price as bing Lee

  • I've had this one for a year and I love it but I've just noticed this week that the black paint is starting to wear off on the wasd keys from fps gaming
. The led light is starting to bleed through the edges of the keys
