What got it sold to me:

  • the looks
  • QuickCheck: Check the browning progress without interrupting the toasting cycle
  • Hi Lift Lever: Small Crumpets and muffins can be easily removed

If you can't see where it's white, it's the control panel - looks quite glossy. There's a matching kettle, KEP4007WH, also ~50% off at $45.

No reviews yet, so might be a new model. Let's hope it breaks within the 2-year warranty ends or, preferably, never.

It does look nice, quite vintage "Braun".

After 18mths of having that feature on a Breville, it's worth the price alone.

    Any bargains for microwave?

    • Yes please!

  • Thanks. Just picked up one of each for my mums new house.

  • Any feedback now you've got one? I was interested but now wondering as Choice has panned the 4 slice version https://www.choice.com.au/home-and-living/kitchen/toasters-g…

Haven't used it, but saw it unwrapped - it looks bigger/unnecessarily and unfortunately longer than in the render (the thumbnail pic) and doesn't quite feel solid in the plastic parts.

The looks still worth $44, I guess. But yeah, can't tell if or how it works.

      • Thanks. I get the feeling from productreview site that there are no foolproof choices in toasters. Probably anything affordable as good as anything else

Toasters are a minefield. Even $300 ones seem to be unreliable.

  • Mine short-circuited on the second day.

    • Any issues getting it replaced?

      • I was about to return it yesterday but I double-checked. It's actually working, and it seems there might be some overeager fuse in my house.

I didn't expect any issues with having it replaced or returned tho.
