Went down from $15. These are the cheapest toaster/kettle at Kmart currently.

That’s shocking!
Okay bye
Oooh harsh, that's bound to spark some debate.
Yikes….did you get the model recalled?
they revised the model with better insulation where the power cable meets the appliance
Better that it shocked you (in a way) and it didn't happen to a young child or someone with health issues.
Better to just get the 2 slice one for $7.50 which also is of higher quality (mine has been going strong for 9+ years)
How am I suppose to save money though?
No point starving myself with 1 slice if I am using enough electricity for 2 slices.
I feel like toasters are a missed opportunity for power reduction in the home.
For whatever reason the appliance lords decided we all need extra wide 4 slice toasters, which use way more power than anyone needs for a regular slice of toast. But the whole toaster has been designed just in case you occasionally want to have a slice of inch thick raison toast (that you could have cooked in the grill in your oven).
For the doubters, the further away the element is from the toast, the more power it uses. Admittedly there is probably an ideal distance to get an even toasting, rather than the pattern of the element…so I welcome comment from an Breville designers/engineers
Also the mini jaffle maker $7: https://www.kmart.com.au/product/mini-jaffle-maker-yellow-43…
Hmmm… is that a jaffle maker for ants?
Better to just get the 2 slice one for $7.50
Ditto for 1.7l kettle and sandwich maker. Damn kmart is cheap!
Where do you get the mini breads from?
review seems decent?
If you like proper bread (bakery or home made) you'll most likely want the longer 4 slice toaster for $20. (clearance)

I have that toaster and its pretty good.
Check the 1-star reviews. It is wide, but too shallow.
Only toasts 1 slice at a time? How pathetic.
Landfill
Has anyone noticed these Kmart toasters don’t fit a bakery sized piece of bread properly so you have an uncooked bit at the top of the piece of toast?
Power source: 220-240V / 50-60Hz / 1370-1630W
Might be good for campers with a 1500W inverter.
Perfect for my 600w inverter!!!!!!
There is also a mini waffle block maker for $7
https://www.kmart.com.au/product/waffle-block-maker-red-4337…
We got last year's Easter egg one on clearance for $7 late last year.
They are great, just got to start cooking your batch of waffles the night before so you are ready by breakfast time.
What a joke of a product.
Buys toaster
Immediately throws in landfill
Who on God's Earth only eats one piece of toast?
Microplastics beware!
Plastic kettles may release particles into water when boiled, which could be a health concern. Gemini.
Landfill possibly? House Fire Possibly?
still salty about being electrocuted by a Kmart glass bench top oven… was an interesting experience
