  If I need to drill into garage brick for a depth up to 35mm to hang a bike rack, will this work? It seems underspecced. Obviously a good masonry bit is key.

    No problems. Just use a masonry bit , put it in hammer mode and take it slow.

    I've had this model for years. It will do the bike rack drill no problem. Make sure that you have a decent quality masonry bit.
