Thanks, grabbed a couple. I'll look at what I can do to modify these to add a FPV camera and a bigger battery.

  • This one any good, worth buying ?

    • Only for kids to crash and burn with.

Tiny car battery. Most likely no spare parts for it. Break an axle or steering rod and it goes in the bin.

      • Land fill

        • i mean effectively all their toys end up in landfill… my kid is going to be asking for a Tesla Model XYZ in 2040 when he's a teen and will we remember all the various toys we bought him?

i mean for $20 this isnt too bad

The 22nd and 24th they other deals on rc cars maybe better to wait?

  • There are plenty of cheap RC cars at Kmart for around this same price.

Here's a 2 pack of mini RC cars for $25.

    • One works great but the other one in pack does not work properly

So technically, only a 1 pack.

      • +3

No no, that 's still a 2 pack … RC car and roulette game in one! :-P

          My bad.. 😅

one thing i would point out is this unit has what looks like to be proportional steering and power

that makes a BIG difference compared to the -/0 type digital stuff on cheap units

i seriously think this is the cheapest proportional rc car i've seen

AND it comes with a battery… the cheapo kmart stuff does not

this is from some who wasted too much money on Tamiya and other rc stuff as a kid

    • Just wondering what is "proportional steering and power" ?

      • +2

it means that on cheap cars you go full left or full right or full power when you hit the buttons… makes movement jerky… its just an on off button

a proportional car has a potentiometer that allows you to go 23% power or 60% left or 15% right (or whatever you want) like in a real car so movement is smooth and like… a real car… sort of

this make sense on 4wd type cars as you can rock crawl the speed

        • Thanks for the info :)
That's great to have and would give you greater control.

        • Bought the car and the steering and power does have different levels, thanks for the info unexpected bonus and a lot of fun for $20

    • I know exactly what you mean — but unfortunately I think this is just a copy of those better remotes, but that still is only full left/full right, not analog/proportional at all.
