                                Maybe try uninstalling and reinstalling app and check for any updates.

                                Then hopefully should see gift card option at the top when you hit shop (bottom left).

                    @Scrooge McDeal: I was on the same boat as well on my secondary account, added a payment card for the first time, first payment got declined, tried again for the second time and payment went through but promo had already been applied to the first one that was declined. Currently on a chat with AP to ask for a solution.
                    Can we refund wish giftcard with BigW if AP won't do anything?

                                I had an issue with my account a couple of days back so sent a message through there and they replied via email the next day and sorted it out.

                        @dins: Thanks, I did, and also had a phone call just now and a follow up chat with them saying basically the same thing, that the promo had been applied to first transaction (which was declined) and completely disregarded the issue at hand, that the promo shouldnt have apply in the first place if the payment was declined. I have asked them how they will rectify.

      The offer is still active, which is key - Kmart and Target just have blocks in place to prevent gift cards being purchased, so anything else should be fine

        Have to select your preferred card first in the app (and ensure has money on it). No doubt some cards may not play well with google Pay, but should Work if you can add it to pay I think.

          I added the afterpay card to Google pay wallet. And then touched my phone and it shows a tick in the app. But the terminal shows Payment declined contact your bank. Not sure what is the "preferred card"🤔 is it the card linked in the afterpay app to pay afterpay bills?

      They might need to update card payment details. Did they happen to use Apple Pay for the in-app purchase? In store requires a valid credit card to be the preferred payment method.

      I was able to add them over the weekend but when I tried to make a purchase of a gift card the $40 was not applied.
      Tried again now and got $100 Woolworths gift card for $60.

          The $40 applied to the first one, $30 for the second. You can find the gc in the gift card section. When you open the app, on the top of the landing page, they are right below the search field with grey background colour and rounded corners, same style as the search field.

    Tried to purchase a $50 gift card from Chemist Warehouse this arvo and it was declined.

    Just be aware that once it's declined the first time around the promo disappears from the app. If you make another purchase and it goes through the promo won't apply.

    So double check the app if the first transaction gets declined.

    Tried Bunnings on Saturday. A dozen attempts and didn't work. Gave up and paid for what I wanted by credit card. Later I worked out I hadn't set the card up with Google Pay, so fixed that and went back in the afternoon and got a $50 gift card. Worked for that.
