    $199.95 or $289.95?

    • If we could! It's our best price at the moment and don't think we can even do that after Boxing Day!

  • Good for bird watching 😉

  • How do you get it down to 199?

  • Make Offer?

  • Will this be good enough to see the rings of Saturn?

    • +5

on a clear night you could even see the ring around Uranus

      • If you can see that, you're aiming in the wrong direction.

      • Should be voted as The Top Comment of 2023. lol.

    • With the 2x barlow and 10mm included eyepieces you can see Saturn's rings.

      • I think you would struggle to keep Saturn in the eyepiece view with the barlow and with the wobbly stand.
Say Dad centres Saturn in the eyepiece, then you get your kids to view right after I think the planet would of moved out of view or the stand moved. Not going to be a good experience.

    • I think you would be able to see it (make it out), and Jupiter and moons too with the right eyepiece. Expect it to be the size of a grain of rice or an ant in the eyepiece.
If it was good view that maybe another story, moon would look very good.
"70mm Aperture & 700mm Focal Length for Observing the Moon, Landviewing & Sea (Ships, Whales & More)"
      Description would be true.
I found Jupiter and it's moons to be more spectacular than Saturn, when you see Saturn like a 2D glow sticker.

  • Can I watch Elon building a colony on Mars with this? Quite interested to see this happening through a little home hubble telescope…

  • Can you hook up a camera for astro photography

    • +2

Not out of the box, but you can get a smartphone adapter called the Celestron Nexyz to adapt your phone to the eyepiece. This means you'll need 2 phones - 1 for the eyepiece for photography and 1 for the Starsense Explorer connectivity.

      • Thanks for the advice.

This one has the latest Starsense explorer technology to help you find celestial objects with your phone attached and the StarSense Explorer app installed. The linked eBay one doesn't have this capability but comes with a phone adapter for taking photos. This one can too, but will need a separate adapter piece to be purchased!

  • I'm happy to spend up to 500 on a telescope.

With this being a rrp of 450, is there anything better up to that price point?

Happy for you to send me a pm.

    • This telescope is great value for this budget under $350. If you're considering up to $500, you will get one with a sturdier stand, but won't come with the StarSense technology.

Mind you this bargain would be fine for the moon, but thats about it.
