My sister brought home "bargain" several pieces each style but the $1.50 Serving bowl can be used for eating Asian noodles (lots of shredded cabbage or bean sprouts in the soup)

      They were…

    • 69 cents each before

Wrong. They were 70 cents each.

OzBargain would beg to differ on multiple occasions…

        And so would I ;-)
I paid $0.69c each more recently than that on numerous occasions to replenish after breaking, etc…

        • Looks like your prices are from 2017.

More recently it was 70 cents before the price increase.

@HomeAlone: Yes, and they also sold for $0.75c at some points.

But it was not wrong to say they sold for $0.69c

The price fluctuated quite a bit.

Regardless if they were $0.69 or $0.70 or $0.75 the new "clearance" price of $0.80 is not really an improvement ;-)

  • Does anyone know what usual-ish price is?

    • Used to be $0.69c everyday price.
Since the price increases $0.80c is now the everyday price.

The big bowls I bought at $1.50 a while ago so I don't see much difference in the original price? Great set, lightweight. But when they break its an absolute pain as it shards everywhere and it's very small but sharp. Also cling wrap doesn't really stick to it well

      Video proof here :-)
Ikea tempered glass drop test = https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W4GK8JxsIDM

      • Wow, is their floor made from sponge or something for it to survive the first drop lol. I dropped mine from about 1.5m high but on those 1cm foam floor mats (kids area) and it still shattered everywhere. I was so worried for a few days that I might have missed a shard

This is the standard price, in fact they went up.

[Clearance] Oftast dinner ware single piece $0.80 to $1.50 in store @ Ikea

Are you sure this is "Clearance"?
Ikea have been selling these forever and they are popular.
It isn't usual practice to INCREASE the price of a clearance item.
It is also hard to believe they would stop selling such a popular product.
