damn that would make it so more worth..
4TB - Meh!
It's not the best deal, but its for people who are feeling lackluster as there many good deals out there, its decent for the price.
If you’ve got a 4TB based pool and find yourself needing to resliver a replacement this could be a go
I bought a couple as spares for my pool last week.
~$35 per TB seems pretty expensive…
Hmm yeah. I bought WD Red Plus NAS 4TB drives in 2021/22 for $120 each (while on sale. Have prices risen?
If this is expensive for a 4TB, it looks like in a few months' time things going to get more interesting and this price now could be something of a bargain.
if the drive fails during its warranty period, could we send the drive directly to Seagate or must we return to the seller (in this case shopping express)? If we could send to Seagate, would they pay for shipping?
Keen with the drive but i have always bought from local shop as warranty claim is more straightforward but the price in this case is a lot cheaper than my local place.
Directly to Seagate. I just had one fail and raised a warranty claim. Bought a few for my server 5 months ago from an ebay deal posted here. The serial number was from overseas but they did honor. Very smooth process via their website. Sent the drive to them late last week and got a message yesterday that the replacement was on its way. You will need to cover the shipping when sending to Seagate. Address was in Botany NSW. I think the replacement is being shipped from Vietnam.
thanks mate. such helpful info! How much was the shipping cost (for your case) to Botany NSW?
Cost me around $12 with the bubble padded envelope.
@tman2020: Thanks bro
Damm, I should invest this rather than real estate or stock…. Price is up!!!
Last week you could add Shopback's 10% and Westpac's 15% to the deal.
