    Is Temu safe to use?

    • Safe to use, just not safe to work for.

      • +1

Ah ok. I thought there were problems with identity theft too.

        • +1

Just put initials or something for name and use boost numbers and use paypal

@JXXY1337: Also use VPN, virtual machine connection, 8 ft pole to type on keyboards and use computer in Faraday cage. /s

But honestly I would just stick away due to business practices. Own choice :)
If this cheap someone is paying for it :(

@[Deactivated]: wow!!!!! look at amazon aswell

            • @JXXY1337: I don't recall amazon having malware in their apps?

              • -1

@[Deactivated]: Did you even read your own link you posted 😂

                • -1

@JXXY1337: Go back and read the actual articles instead of seeing the word "amazon" and thinking that amazon is even close to the levels of temu and PDD.

They're merely using amazon as a comparison point.

                    • -1

@JXXY1337: It’s up to you anyway not forcing you to use the cashback anyway.

    • for your data? probably not

finally have temu a shot. thought it might be kmart quality stuff but cutting out middlemen.

no. it's the $2 junk shop quality or worse. not sure why this is popular. please stay away!

here's my detailed feedback so people realise this place is not a bargain but actually an expensive mistake

bought belay glasses for $15 - was expecting cheap, but not broken on arrival. keep in mind you can get a decent pair for $30 so for what showed up at my door, i was flabbergasted

added some crap for the nieces:
kites: the critical latches broke within 60 seconds of me touching the darn thing

toy binoculars- $7 and ok for the kids to play make believe. although you can probably get the same thing for at the reject shop for that price. they do NOT compare to kmarts $15 ones, not even close. good for the 3 year old to role play, useless to the 10 yo

puzzle - $3 was tiny and again you can get something better in person at kmart for the range price

Thank you, I always asked myself if that website was legit or more of a AliExpress type.

      Won't try !

      • +1

Temu is basically the same as ebay, aliexpress, shein, it’s all 3rd part sellers. It just depends what you buy. I find Temu’s refund system the easiest to use.

      • Worst than Aliexpress

    • +2

for me it’s very different and same as many other people. You’re just buying the wrong stuff. I bought esp32’s, cables and other electronic stuff they work fine. Belts (i’ve seen) are actually real leather and have metal parts and not plastic. Your just buying crap from there. Gift bags are cheap and what you expect for the price and are actually decent quality, all I can say is that they need to be aired out. Again your buying the wrong stuff and the crappy stuff, it’s like ebay. If it’s broken on delivery who cares just get a refund, simple.

      • i got a refund and yes the process was easy, at least for the first time.

well done on your success. I'm not going to waste my time on trying to figure out "what's crap and what's not".

i like a bargain - which means value for money. not buying essentially 'a lucky dip' as whether it's crap or not.

        each to their own

      • Agree on that. I bought wltoys and orico brands from temu, with coupons is much cheaper and 7 days delivery

    • expect this from chinese made goods. low quality, rough on the edges. the exception are 'brands' like xiaomi etc.

Anyone else trying out Temu now is a few months too late as the prices have doubled and a lot of good products are no longer on the platform. Now it really is just overpriced junk.

At the initial launch in April I received nearly 40 products worth about $300 for free. Followed by next to nothing on all this other stuff I've since resold. Now you're lucky to get a $10 product for free.

It's like Socialgood. Signed up early, earned a heap of coins and offloaded for BTC/USD before the scammers came onboard and ruined the platform.

  • if i've ordered with temu before can i just make a new account and use shopback to get the cashback

    • Atleast in my experience that works

      • Do you reuse ur mobile number?

        • i think i did reuse my number

  • Already have a Temu account. Do I need a new phone number and device to be counted as a new user for this cashback?

    • +1

I used a phone number i used already on the same device but i use a short version of my name

      • thanks for the quick response

    • I used that last time but if the first item is the most expensive by quite a bit you pay for it instead of the cheaper ones. They make you pay for the most expensive items

  • Is there anything worth buying on Temu? I've searched but results are always slim and can never find anything that's not already cheaper on other sites like ali express.

    • +1

Yea normally abit more expensive then aliexpress. I usually busy things like small electronics like a esp32 or something but would only buy if it’s a good deal

  • How long did it take for anyone's transaction to get tracked? It's been a few hours and still nothing.

  • Did anyone’s transaction get tracked? It has been more than 17 hours and still nothing showing at ShopBack. Shipping information was just received.

    • Mine didn't for almost a day, so I cancelled just in case.

    • did u end up getting urs tracked?

  • looks like using a new email no longer qualifies as new user (it has before), my cashback only tracked at 15% instead of 50%
