interested. Not sure whether decathlon will pm it or not. Any recommendations for beginner? Check previous post, Decathlon may have half price on this bike twice a year.
If you plan to get serious about riding a bike, at least get one with a tiagra groupset. This one is good If it's going to sit in the garage most of the time.
Thats nonsense, my wife has been riding her Sora Trek Domane AL3 with me on rail trails and various gravel tracks with no issues…
Even Cannondale released a Topstone Sora which is popular overseas.
But you wouldn’t get Tiagra at this price.
Sora is good at this price, this is a good deal to me.
Item weight 89kg lol
I got this one when it was $650. It's a great all-rounder for weekends and a bit of commuting. Like with all things road cycling, you are going to get Dentists and Doctors looking down on you for being a pleb on a non-carbon frame.
Or just put 38mm tyre on it as a cheap gravel bike…

Just make sure it's the current years model.
Previous model can only clear 32/33mm.Ask me how I know lol
This bike looks great value for the price - with carbon forks, disc brakes and sora groupset. I don't think there's anything really comparable from trek, merida or polygon. I think Reid had something decent at the 1k mark at the moment.
Looking at past deals the triban 520 looks like it comes down to $999, with 105s. That's definitely worth the price difference if you can hold.
Problem is they really started mixing and matching parts after the difficulties getting entire groupsets in 21/22.
Dunno if you'll find complete 105 anymore.
I would honestly hold off on a bike purchase for a few months, they entire industry is in big trouble and discounts were already happening before black friday.
grab one from a local store and they can price match. They can provide fitting and installation. Anyway not the lowest price but a good price for this bike recently.
Just piggy backing this to ask a related question- whats the Triban RC120 pricing like? 699, which would be about 595 if using the TCN vouchers
Nice. But does not ship to WA :-(
