I'm not that familiar with the different Shimano ranges vs prices.Crazy bad.. Sora shifters are one of the worst I've used.. I recommend at least shimano 105 shifters.

I am only familiar with Shimano Tourney being crazy bad, but good enough for the kids bikes I do up.
I thought 105's were complete overkill for "the average person" who hardly rides much. But I havent had any experience with them or sora.
My current bike cost $10, so I may be operating from a different baseline also.
If you are really going to use this for gravel riding it's worth finding something with hydraulic brakes
I'd prefer a 1x as well.
The Tektro mech discs are horrible, I upgraded to hydraulics immediately

I bought a bike from them a few years ago it it was great.
They aren't as cheap as they used to be though. Prices are a little inflated to try and promote a better saving. I'd never buy from them at full price as there's better mainstream bikes at cheaper prices.
I've had issues with the 2 bike orders I've made with them. Their ability to provide assistance post-purchase was limited and in the end I just asked for a partial refund and sorted it out myself.
That is the caveat I would put on any online bike purchase; prepare to fix it yourself or pay the local bike shop. That is the cost of saving on the purchase price
