Yeah it's also being sold at Mwave, Scorptec, Computer Alliance and Centre Com for the same price, worth keeping an eye out on delivery prices depending on area.

Office works also officers a similar Lenovo monitor (G34w-10) for $397

  • Does anyone know if this is supported by a PS5?

    • Apparently PS5 doesn't support 21:9 resolution and doesn't support 1440p either.

        PS5 does support 1440p now.

        • That's good news I thought it would get 21:9 support before 1440p

  • Would a VA panel really be that bad when playing Fortnite? No way I'm spending the money on an IPS monitor for my son, but pointless getting something like this if it's going to be unusable when playing.

    • VA should be fine for Fortnite but is he used to playing on a wide monitor?

  • So I'm a total newb with all this monitor business but with this native resolution being so high would you need to use display scaling to make text readable? and if so would it make sense (save $) to buy something like this?

as its IPS, $100 Cheaper and flat which some prefer, as I run a 27" curved at home just standard 1920x1080 resolution and I find text could be bigger, scared if I go 4k it will be impossible and I'd end up using scaling
    !

    • I am using a WQHD monitor of the same size (35 inch) and 125% is the perfect scaling for me. high res enough that I can browse 2 chrome tabs side by side.

vertical resolution is the most important part, if you buy a 34 inch 1080p monitor, all you are getting is extra pixels on the sides.

2560 x 1080 versus 1920 x 1080 = means you get an extra 640 pixels on the side, but no change in vertical resolution. That is not really beneficial for productivity.

Once you've gone with a 1440p monitor you'll probably never go back to regular FHD

  • Get it from the lg store for $349 with $50 welcome voucher

  • $379 with free shipping ($356.26 with Ebay plus code TOP6NOV) at https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/256194033472?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mk…

    • That's an inferior model with slower refresh rate at 100hertz, 34WR50QC v 34WP60C

  • can the AMD Radeon RX 6600 card handle a monitor like this?

    • Probably not for most games

      • can you recommend a monitor that could, preferably curved?

        • I would go with a 27 inch 1080p curved monitor, if you want anything bigger at 1080p you'll be losing a lot of visual fidelity so it depends on what games you play.

          • @lookingforadeal7: It's for my son and he just plays Fortnite, is it not possible to go bigger than a 27, or is it that point it moves from 1080p?
