make those powerpoints pop.
Seems like a great price. Good for gaming?
Also like to know, I settle for decent for gaming.
I bought a similar model for an old PC, it's decent for gaming.
100Hz is definitely better than 60Hz and gets most of the benefit of 120Hz, but I do notice it's slower than 120Hz. I feel more of a difference between 100 vs 120 than 120 vs 240 (I have a 240Hz and it honestly didn't feel any smoother than 144Hz, but mainly the motion clarity was better)
A couple of things to watch out for:
Adaptive Sync is a VESA standard that works through Displayport. FreeSync is an AMD proprietary extension of Adaptive Sync that also works with HDMI. TL;DR - if you have an Nvidia GPU you might not be able to use GSync without DisplayPort, which this monitor (and many other budget 100Hz options) doesn't have. I haven't tested that though.
There's a surprising amount of ghosting in games when overdrive is turned off, so definitely turn it on. It's clearly not as fast a panel as "gaming" monitors.
I bought this monitor on eBay through Kogan store with coupon code BFDEAL for $90.82 incl delivery.
