Protip: get the IHT-1S which gives a reading in ~1 second. You will not regret it.

Edit: hory shet it's now double what I paid in Feb of this year

    • What did you pay for it, if you don't mind me asking? It's on Amazon for $39… Is that good price?

      • That's a decent price - I paid $36.

        • Nice… I'll grab one then..
          Thanks.

        • Ahhh it's not the IHT-1S that is $39. There are 2 different models on the listing. But shows the picture for the 1S for both.

          • @Shaun Prawn: That listing is messed up. The specs and pics are both for the IHT-1S, but only the more expensive option specifies the model. I'd buy it and return if it's not as shown.

            • @umexcuseme: Yeh I ended up purchasing. Fingers crossed it is the right one. Thanks.

    These are great.

I've never burnt my boiling water since getting one…

  • These are great, takes all the guesswork out of heating food. Reheating food in the microwave? Is it over 70? Good to go. Internal temp for a medium rare steak is around 54 degrees, take it off the heat when it's about 52 and it will cook the rest of the way. It's got a magnet so you can stick it somewhere convenient. Love it.

    • Good for placing hot foods inc soups in fridge/freezer?
