  • The dock supports MST (Multi-Stream Transport) technology, which allows the use of multiple monitors simultaneously, but taking advantage of its multi-monitor functionality requires connecting one monitor via HDMI and the other via DisplayPort.

So essentially its not MST at all…

    • Interesting specs on this USB-C dock if it indeed delivers its advertised claims, could potentially use it for a laptop or phone as well.
Perhaps it is referring to the host device must have a USB-C port that supports DisplayPort alt mode for multi-monitor to work, otherwise you will only be able to mirror across the 2 external monitors.

  • I'm thinking of buying a KVB switcher just to extend my laptop displays to dual monitors but those are expensive! Can this potentially be connected to a laptop to fuction as a dual monitor extender instead?

No audio pass through on this one, had to return it. Just got an ordinary Alogic dock from jbhifi that works perfectly instead.

It was also $39.95 when I bought it a month ago too. So this price is higher.
