  The dock supports MST (Multi-Stream Transport) technology, which allows the use of multiple monitors simultaneously, but taking advantage of its multi-monitor functionality requires connecting one monitor via HDMI and the other via DisplayPort.

  So essentially its not MST at all…

    Interesting specs on this USB-C dock if it indeed delivers its advertised claims, could potentially use it for a laptop or phone as well.
    Perhaps it is referring to the host device must have a USB-C port that supports DisplayPort alt mode for multi-monitor to work, otherwise you will only be able to mirror across the 2 external monitors.

      So this ++is not MST** at all as far as I can see, if you need HDMI plugged in too.

      Wonder if it will work with an HDMI terminator/spoofer.

  I'm thinking of buying a KVB switcher just to extend my laptop displays to dual monitors but those are expensive! Can this potentially be connected to a laptop to fuction as a dual monitor extender instead?

    It would appear so, as long as your laptop has USB-C and you plug one monitor in by DP and one by HDMI

  No audio pass through on this one, had to return it. Just got an ordinary Alogic dock from jbhifi that works perfectly instead.

  It was also $39.95 when I bought it a month ago too. So this price is higher.
