Can't wait to spend weeks chasing up Shopback to approve this upsized deal… like every upsized + Westpac bonus Shopback offer 😒

    • -7

      PEBCAK

    • About in in 3 times I'm getting the regular cashback ok but no Westpac. Annoying because there's no easy way in the app to lodge a claim for just the Westpac part.

      • You'll be better off emailing them ([email protected]) or raising the claim via your Shopback account in a web browser.

      • Happened to me same for David Jones! BWS cashback tracked but still waiting on Westpac to track!

  • eBay caps per transaction or per user?

    • +1

Typically per transaction so make sure to split them, make sure to post at least 1 cent on the card and don't use coupons that aren't stated on Shopback website.

      • I wonder if the lack of "no coupons/promo codes" in the post means they're allowed this time.

        • +2

Still mentions it in the notes/T&Cs section on the SB eBay page.

          • -1

@MiscOzB: you can often still use codes that aren't approved and get cashback. Has anyone tried with ebay?

    FINALLY WESTPAC BONUS ON EBAY

    Christmas shopping sorted

    • 20% total. Not as high as 25% total in the past.

      • +1

Still better than the 10% it’s been recently

        • Still no coupons allowed :(

  • any caps on the westpac bonuses?

  • Westpac also capped at $20 @dealbot

  • is the BWS cashback cap 25 per transaction or is it irrespective the number of transactions? got a party coming up need to stock up

    • +1

I'm had success with multiple orders when first Choice have their cashback with caps…if that helps.

    • +1

      Per transaction.

  • +3

    It’s been 10% + 15% before. HODL for BF?

  • Bit nervous about BWS….had a failed tracking transaction with them recently.

    • At the very least, make sure you access the BWS site through the SB app.

I've never had any issues that way, but if still feeling nervous, you could also screen record your whole transaction process.

      • Cheers, good tip, always use desktop for cashbacking, but I'll try the app this time.

    • Use the SB app on your phone. Don't let it load the BWS app if you have it. Avoid using anything that might have adblockers.

  • Anyone know how to search BWS clearance items?

    • Specials, shop deals (on the right), scroll down to Clearance.

Good luck. Not much there. Last time I had some half price wine selected. While I searched for something else to get, the price was jacked to full price.

      • Cheers. I couldnt find it in the app, but could on the web page. Cheers.

      • +1

Worth noting that the items listed are store specific, so you can search around other stores too.

Although I've noticed that a lot of items on clearance aren't marked as such, they are just marked as specials. So better off looking at specials in the category you are interested in.

  • so for ebay you can get $40 total if you're with westpac?

  • +1

What happened to first choice and liquorland no longer have any deals ?

    • Yeah this. Have disappeared from Cashrewards too

    • +1

      been wondering the same

    • They're offline temporarily while they manage some issues on their back end. Should be back in future though, hard to say when that'll be I'm afraid!

      • +1

Ive noticed they dropped down theyre cash back and now dissappeard.

Hopefully will be back .. better value .

  • +1

With the eBay 10% + 10%, how many times can I do this?

I have 3 times at around $230 I want to buy so if I do this in 3 transactions, do I get $40 X 3 back?

  • Can we use codes like MYPLUS or PNAX @ eBay and still get the cashback?

  • Nothing good in bws for single malts

  • Just confirming you only need to charge like $0.01 to Westpac card to get the full cashback amount?

    • +1

For eBay, yeah that's correct in that split payments are fine to earn Cashback on the full order amount, however I have heard some case here and there where 1 cent purchases aren't being registered by Westpac, so try and add a little it to your spend if you can.

  • Nothing good for BWS in spirits or wine, probably why they're hammering cashbacks lol

  • I have a feeling the eBay ShopBack wouldn’t work with the 20% off code but could someone please confirm from previous experience? Thanks!

    • If the code isn't listed on our website, there's a good chance that eBay will reject the Cashback at a later date, so best to avoid.

  • I also got a failed tracking transaction with BWS. chased up shopback, they rejected the transaction and can't tell why.

    • Hey mate, sorry to hear, typically these rejections come from the store themselves and they don't always list a specific reason. We're always happy to escalate rejections if you feel you've been rejected in error or would like further info, you can simply reply to the email chain with support, or shoot me a DM and I'll do my best to help out.

  • it doesnt say 10% base cashback for ebay on shopback?

  • +1

    BWS is 3-9pm Qld time

  • Is it correct that the Westpac 10% is only on ebay but not BWS? Shopback does not show the deal yet. Presumably that will be clear by 4:00pm.

  • so, no way to know if the coupons codes are allowed or not. There are none listed on shopback page.

    • +1

If they aren't listed, they aren't allowed. That's how you know.

    • You just answered your own question.

  • Sucks about the $25 cap for BWS. Can repeat transactions ~$80 or lower for maximum discount.

    • +1

I would love an uncapped 20%< because of a larger order I want from way out..

$80 is hard to stack with the extra 10% off 6+ wines.

  • crappy ebay deal without the 20/22% codes.

    • I guess its ok for eBay stuff that normally doesn't have codes e.g. small stores or individuals. But Black Friday Shopback Ebay % is better anyway.

  • Combine BF22% and 6% gift cards for a better deal.

    • Where can I get 6% off gift cards?

  • Will the ebay code BF22AU work with the ebay cashback?

  • Trying Ebay 10% and WP 10% but in checkout no indication of cashback or that it is tracked. Emailed Shopback but they probably will not get back on time. Also it goes to my saved ebay items hopefully that gets the two discounts. Any advise ?

    • Any way we see if it is a tracked ?
Are cashbacks for ANY ebay purchase?

  • If I paid with my Westpac card that wasn't actually linked at the time of purchase, will it still track if I enter my card in the Westpac lounge after purchase?

  • No westpac bonus for BWS?

  • @gotyourback $25 cap is per transaction, if I do 3 separate transactions worth $50 each will I get 30% on all 3 transacations?

    • +1

Yep! Just remember to exit BWS and click through again from ShopBack in between purchases to ensure each one tracks.

      • ok, cool. So can do multiple lots of 30%/ $25 caps?

        • I did one order of $100 and $25 cashback was tracked. So it’s a definite that I can do another and get up to $25 cashback again? I always thought its a once off not per transaction.

          • @1bargain: Thats what it looks like.
P.S. Keep your orders under $83.33 (which gives you the max $25) .

            • @tunzafun001: Thanks. Is it just for BWS?

              • @1bargain: Ebay finished at 6pm

                • @tunzafun001: No i mean somehow I thought you can only get one cashback per promo per day like 30% maxed at $25. I didn’t know you can just do another transaction for another $25.
So I was asking if it’s only for BWS or has it always been like this? I know with Boost Mobile, they specifically say do another transaction but otherwise I thought you only get the max stated (eg $25 for BWS)
Anyways, I did second transaction and it’s not tracking. Hope it will come through soon.

                  • @1bargain: It will..i did 5 for family members. All tracked after an hour.

  • Interesting. Is this new with Shopback purchases on eBay?

"Cashback is valid when gift cards are used as a payment method".

    • Has always been the case as far as I can remember

      • Hmmm ok might just be getting confused.

  • It looks like the Westpac bonus will be larger on Friday for some sites. On the Westpac site there is a page that lists some Shopback bonuses for 24th. "Save big on these brands on Black Friday 24 November". For BWS it says 20% extra bonus capped at $20. ebay 15% cap $25. Some others too. Hopefully SB will have something good to stack them.

BWS is not listed in the current Westpac deals.

  • I bought a couple of cartons of John Boston Summer Ale on clearance for $37 each on clearance (about $26 each after 30% SB).

    https://bws.com.au/product/875851/john-boston-the-surprize-s…

It is store specific and likely low stock, but I noticed a few other stores have it even cheaper for $33 each (which would be $23 after cashback). A few stores around Melbourne seem to have stock.

  • +1

I would suggest people only add Westpac bonus to shops where the deals are together. This one was ambiguous as a not too close read looked like 40% in total for a BWS purchase with a Westpac card.

    • Thanks for the heads up. I read this post as 40% off BWS with the Westpac card

  • their website sucks. Found a clearance product for my store, but when I add it to the cart, the sale price overrides the clearance price…nothing they can do as it takes a few days to fix and he said they prob wouldn't even bother as it is a clearance item, so when they are gone, then no more issue?? At least the guy gave me a good voucher $$ code for my trouble, and I will use that on a separate order not using Shopback

  • Any special to buy? Clearance aren't showing in my area.

  • 1L Wanderin Rogue Tennessee Whiskey for $55, $38.50 after cashback

    https://bws.com.au/product/226733/wanderin-rogue-tennessee-w…

    • tried it before?

      • +1

Yes it's pretty good, can't really go wrong as a mixer and especially at $38 a litre.

        • +1

          Bought…cheers!

  • I hope the BFDEAL code on eBay is okay, since it is listed on shopback? Comments above sound like there's no code listed so I'm a bit confused

    • It was also in the email newsletter they sent out today, so should be fine

  • Code SAVA8 will get cash back?
