Bought a nylex sprayer last weekend and returned same day. Wish i read the reviews beforehand

    • The Aqua brand ones are even worse

    • Agreed they break so often even with care

    • I don't think Nylex make anything that isn't junk. I dropped a heap of money on their "kink away" highest rated kink resistant hoses. Utter trash, kinked worse than reject shop hoses and developed pin holes everywhere after 2 years. I contacted them and they didn't want to know about it.

  • Can confirm, lasted about 1 year and only several uses before some seal went and it wouldn't pressurize.

Was careful to rinse it after every go as well.

  • Junk.
Do yourself a favour, go to your local farm and rural supply store (or go online) and buy a SOLO sprayer.
Yes, you’ll pay a lot more but you’ll have it for 10 years.

    • Think Aqua comes with a seal kit, if you store the seal kit in controlled environment it can buy you another 3 years out of the aqua after the first kit degrades in the first 3 years.

      • I’ve tried several sprayers from Bunnings in the past. I even loosen the unions and hose connectors after each use before storage. But, every time I go to reuse it, it leaks or looses pressure.

I bit the bullet and bought a SOLO 3 years ago and it’s still as new every time I go to use it. Plus, you can buy replacement parts and comes with a 5 year warranty.

    • I use solo… My latest sprayer was $340… I don't think this is the place for solo sprayers lol.. 417LI is the model you want for solo about $400 for a consumer.

I'm a gardener so use them daily and have made the cost back 30x over.

The consumer alternative would be Silvian. Makita also make one too if you're in that ecosystem.

  • I can confirm. I bought the 5l version of this and returned it same day.

I’m pretty handy but couldn’t get this to stop leaking even under low pressure. I checked all the connection points and seals, in fact fiddled around for an hour or more trying to fix it before finally giving up.

Thankfully I only tested with water. I’d have been pretty pissed if I’d filled it with Round-Up then got it all over me. Only when you check closely do you realise how bad the quality is. Why Nylex would put their name to this is confusing.

Cheap yes, but shouldn’t it at least be functional?

I do enjoy when I poison and if I pump too much pressure it self releases all over me

Got sick of these so got an ozito pxc 18v. Comes with the usual 5 year replacement warranty. Seems well made & is definitely easy to use. Worth it IMO.

  • Is this the one that explodes when over-pressurised?

I was reaearching these a month or two ago and one of the Bunnings reviews for one of these auto-sprayers shows all the pieces left and a short story (without dragons) about how chemical-filled one exploded when pumping.. 😅
