  • Nice price for Australian stock. Just bought 1, thanks OP.

  • For an iPad, this price seems too good to be true.

  • And as an owner of a China-tab, I'm suddenly reminded of how poor and plebian I am after seeing the price tags of these iPads.

  • Thats pretty cheap for new iPad.

  • -5

what are the best prices elsewhere ? is this much cheaper ?

    • +7

if your asking people that then its really an impulse buy, consider if you really need one.

      • +1

But it's more fun this way hahaha

Kogan have the white one for $799 + delivery for HK stock (http://www.kogan.com/au/buy/new-ipad-64gb-white-wi-fi-4g/)

So yes, this is a great price for Aus stock

p.s. Ronniefromdashore - that is the most sensible thing I have heard on OzBargain…I think we need this at the top of every deal page to make people like myself stop and rethink their impulse purchases =P

  • Excellent price OP. Just be aware that Apple are having an rumored ipad announcement within the week. Rumored ipad mini, but I'm willing to bet a updated ipad 3 with the port the same as the iphone. Just guessing though :)

    • -6

      Rumored ipad mini

Nope, it will be a coffee table sized iPad… They want to create a new market segment…

      • -2

yeah i heard about the coffee table too. its called the CoffiPad

        • tryingtoohard/10

      • You mean they want to copy the Microsoft Surface?

      • iMat?

    • +1

WSJ and CNet says the iPad Mini is in mass production.

As I see it, the iPad Mini would have to be around half of the price of the iPad Large to be competitive to the Google Nexus tab.

  • I assume there is no Australian Tax Invoice??

    • Look at their condition…

      Why Choose Unique Mobiles?
      • Australian based business established in 2004.
      • Australian stock is issued with Australian Tax Invoice.
      • Import stock – Proof of purchase available online.

      • I read it again…

        It sounds like

Unique Mobiles is an Australian based business established in 2004.
If the good is an Australian stock, it is issued with Australian Tax Invoice.
If the good is an imported stock, only proof of purchase is available online. (and No Australian Tax Invoice is available????)

    • +2

      You do get GST invoice.

" • Australian stock is issued with Australian Tax Invoice."

I've ordered mine and got invoice via Paypal with GST on it.

    • that is the non 3g version

    • That's the Wifi only version you're looking at.

    • Even if 3G means $0 to you, $699+postage is still $32~$46 better than $759 delivered…

    • -4

      it says $899

  • Plus Shiping as per below: How much is it

    https://www.google.com.au/search?q=define+shiping&ie=utf-8&o…

  • Awesome price for this iPad! That's about 23% off which is just short of the 25% off that Apple staff get!

I know many get posted everyday, but just maybe the S3 deserves its own post. The last deal for Aus stock 32GB S3 was very well received. It says Australian A-tick stock. I wonder what that means?

That Galaxy Note 2 is a great price too!

    • +2

It says "This item ships from our Hong Kong warehouse"… so NOT Australian stock.

      • They claim it has a 24 manufacturers month warranty on it though.

This is what I could find on what the A-tick means
        http://www.acma.gov.au/WEB/STANDARD/pc=PC_1728

        Mobileciti has the same thing
        http://www.mobileciti.com.au/australian-stock/

It looks like it is still shipped from hong kong but is approved for retail sale in Australia

        • Only difference is that mobileciti has "GST Tax Invoice With All Purchases". So you'll get a GST Tax invoice even with grey-imports, useful with TRS. Warranty of course differs.

    • yeah I thought about it, but then I wasn't too sure if it Australian stock, since I have no idea what Australia A-tick stock means. So didn't put another post in for that.

  • Just went to purchase one and get the message Availability: Out of stock

  • Out Of Stock :-(

  • false advertising… retail is only $899.
    http://store.apple.com/au/buy/home/shop_ipad/family/ipad/new…

    but still a good price.

    • I fail to see 'false advertising' when the email says "don't pay $899, with code $699"

      • -1

it is misleading, it says don't pay $999

      • +2

someone needs their eyes checked lol

    • The link you posted is 32GB. Read the title again.

    • 32 extra gigs for $30 + shipping not worth it?

  • Damn this is a good deal.

    • +1

      was

  • +1

good price for the note 2 as well, bought that instead

  • never trusting this shoddy company again!

    • +2

Why? Please give a reason to justify the neg

      • They sold me a phone saying it supported 3G or would properly use the 3G network when it clearly doesn't. They said the phone was unlocked and could be on any network but it couldn't, to get the best usage it needed to be on Optus. When I emailed them about the problems they said I needed to send it back unused. I only found out about these problems when my phone stopped working correctly so I couldn't send it back unused. I asked for a part refund instead but they refused that and kept telling me I needed to send it back unused even though I'd told them multiple times I only found out these problems by using the phone as their site stats incorrect information. I went and researched the problems I was encountering and showed them the evidence they still ignored it all and told me to get any sort of refund I needed to send the phone back unused.

This is why I neg them as a company.

          If the advertisement was misleading,

the simplest and most cost effective way to get their attention is to file a claim with the small claims tribunal in your state.

search, small claims tribunal NSW (e.g.)

          Best of luck,

  • The original $749 price was pretty sharp too. Can't see how they do it unless they get stock dumped by local telcos, who couldn't sell enough with contracts.

Got one from their mailout this morning. I think cheapest postage to me was about $13 or $14. Will see when they finally ship.
