      I'm the same as @cookietime I had S20 FE 5G and upgraded to Pixel 7 but there were just too many things I didn't like about it coming from Samsung phone.

      Ended up getting S23 Ultra 512gb.

      Pixel 7 and 8 will have amazing camera. No shutter lag like the S23 Ultra. Pictures are a lot better especially for moving objects so great if you have kids/pets and you want to capture the moment. I also like the smaller phone size S23 ultra is hard to get used to.

      The things I didn't like about Pixel 7:

      • Notification toggles are annoying to use - you cannot have separate toggle for wifi and data, you need to click into network to see wifi/data toggle so extra click for something I use daily
      • No NFC toggle in notification swipe down
      • You cannot have brightness on first notification swipe down either, can only be on the expanded view (there is an option that lets you view expanded if you swipe down from right side, but I'm left handed ahaha)
      • my aod (always on display) didn't work consistently, I finally found the solution to change animation in developer options to 0.5 instead of 0.
      • gaming performace isn't as good - Honkai Star Rail performance is great on S23 Ultra, it felt slower or more prone to screen lag on Pixel 7.

      Oh a side note: I've modded my S20 fe 5g for unlimited google photos and videos upload at original quality which is nice. I'll also try to get 7 eleven helicopter to work on it when I have time.

      I did the same thing. Traded in for the Pixel 8 Pro on Thursday but I am not enjoying it after coming from the S20 FE 5G and being so used to the One UI. I would much prefer to return the P8P and get the S23 Ultra with this deal instead.

    Why can't flagship phones just cost $1000 so you dont have to hold your breath and count backwards to 20 whilst hanging upside down with your head in a bucket of water to get $500 off and bring them to that price anyway…. oh thats right Samsung can get away with it because soom fo0ls will pay that. Gone are the days of genuine deals and not stacking 300 vouchers to get a genuine deal on a flagship phone. Lucky the community here has the time and patience to do the hard work and then share it.       The only issue for me is I went instore and the ultra is very boxy compared to the Pixel. Might be worth going to hold them.

        i think you go to jb hifi online and click chat ask for a deal then tell them there's a 256gb S23U for $1448 at Harvey Norman. They will add to your cart an S23U for $1448. You can then use coupons from trade-ins to take the price down

        Did the same. Btw price match payment link doesnt allow ultimate gift card. Here was there response -

              @ashyboy: that’s because the link is assigned to the salesperson from your chat. the salespeople have KPIs to meet and get commissions when they reach certain targets.

              if you asked to match in store, they would do it but the salesperson from chat would lose out on your sale and any commission associated with it

    Well that was a bust. Figured I'd kill two birds with one stone and get rid of an old phone and ok deal on the Ultra… until the ID verification won'i work so I can't get the trade in or coupon.

    I have literally never had any issues with these things before but this one won't verify.

          You can't use GCs if you price match online. You can go instore to price match and use trade in voucher along with multiple GCs to pay.

      You can use as many as JB Hi-Fi gift cards online (in store too), there's no limit. Ultimate, when paying online, is considered as card, not gc. You put it in the card part (it's a restricted visa card after all), and as JB website doesn't allow you to split payment using card, you can only use 1 Ultimate online. That's how JB payment method on the website works, nothing to do with pricematch or not. If you have TCN giftcard, that's an EFTPOS and can only be used in store, so the solution is to exchange them on TCN website into a JB Hi-Fi gift cards (some staff online will tell you half of the story that you can't use TCN and some misinterpreted because of pricematch - no, that's just plain wrong, you just have to exchange TCN to JB first)

        15% GCs are on sale next week. After price match you need to pay 948. At the moment, you can buy GC from ShopBack at 3%.

        U can buy Ultimate giftcards either at Woolies or BigW, which currently give about 10%, but as their biggest denomination is only $500 and it's used like a card (can only use 1 online), so either you need to do this in-store, or alternatively buy JB Hi-Fi giftcard in-store using the Ultimate to use it online. There's actually a possibility to buy JB Hi-Fi giftcard online first, using Ultimate, but many ppl reported that it'd be limited to 1 or 2 (don't try more, as it might put a temporary hold on your Ultimate balance when they declined)

      Cheapest way is go to JB and ask them to price match HN, then have your trade in $500 voucher ready and pay remaining.
      If you go to OW to price beat HN by 5%, then you can not use $500 voucher as it is exclusive to JB trade in.

    Do not really understand how Samsung thinks lately, I find S23U is very bulky & do not like the sharp square edge and curved screen. I prefer the Galaxy 23 plus shape/size, but its specs are subpar reg camera and RAM, etc. I hope they rectify this in their upcoming S24 series..

    Hope the eSim actually works unlike s21fe which has only one sim capability…. making it really annoying to cycle these boost sims without being ale to use my primary sim
