all depends on the game you want and if you have access to friends that can lend you GOW ragnarok or Spiderman 2 or Final fantasy (which is a bundle floating around)
that way you can decide to get the one thats not in circulation OR you could get the spiderman 2 bundle, and MAYBE refund the game @ $99 making the console $578

Doubt they'll do that. They will only give back the amount paid, i.e. what was on the receipt. That's what I would do, if I was them.

Slim is not available in Australia yet. So yes, old.
newer version is just slimmer with removable disk drive. no hw upgrade or power efficiency.
So newer version is slim and hasn't arrived in Aus? Removable HDD as in if the internal breaks you can swap it out ? Whereas currently original only allows you to add a second expandable HDD in the machine right? Sorry not fully across it as I'm waiting to buy one
Edit sorry completely misread the removable disk drive as being the removable internal HDD. Why would one want the disk drive removable though?
This is the older gen. The new slim version has the following changes:
- 1TB internal SSD (instead of 825GB).
- Slimmer.
- Front ports are now both USB-C ports (though a bit harder to tell which one is USB 2 and which one is USB 3).
- Stand no longer included. You get 2 clips and they are designed for horizontal orientation. Vertical stand sold separately.
- Disc drive is removable, but first time setup requires Internet connection to verify it is a legit drive.
