might be something alternative if you must have high end bookshelfs slash standmounts

Been running these for a few years now, very happy with them as mains in a mixed audio/HT setup.

I did at one point try them with a Hegel 2ch amp though and the setup sounded terrible to me: really bright and harsh, with really absent midbass. Might have been a bad combo, but I'm definitely much happier using them with a unit with room EQ.
