I have this tab and paid about a hundred more for 8/256 from same store.

    It's a pretty decent tablet.

  • Would this tablet/display have any troubles with burn-in if it were wall mounted and used for Home Assistant?

Haven't wall mounted one before and am looking for something with a nice bright display (144hz is a bonus for UI animations being smooth too)

Bit of overkill on the price and specs for a HA dashboard

It's not an OLED panel so you wouldn't have to worry about burn in. This seems overkill for a home assistant dashboard.

There's plenty.of other 11" options around cheaper. If you really wanted a higher refresh rate the new Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad 2024 has just started coming online and that has a 90Hz refresh rate.

      • Interesting, I'll suss that one out
I'm just looking for something reliable, don't mind spending a little more upfront if it means I don't have to replace the entire thing 6 months later

        Cheers for that

  • Is this the same device? I’m sure I’m missing something.

Xioami and notice the actual title has no brand.

      • Sneaky.

      • But the link says xiaomi in the title and in one of the pictures.

        • But the link says xiaomi in the title and in one of the pictures.

No it doesn't. It says Xioami.

          • @Clear: Sorry for causing trouble. I knew something was suss, just wanted to know what from the expert.

            • @PainToad: Re-edited my reply to be a lot nicer as it's a play on words to trick your brain into reading it correctly. Everytime it's shared there's always that one guy who insists it's real.

@Clear: Pfft. I know a genuine Panaphonics when I see it. And look, there's Magnetbox and Sorny!

          • @Clear: Oh damn. Knocking off Xiaomi as well.

Hey Clear, would this be better than the Lenovo xaoin pad pro 2022?

  • +2

Hi @Clear, dont know much about tablets but i've been following this Lenovo one you posted a while back. I was able to use the 11SALE40 code and it brought the 256gb version down to around US$254 which seems like a fantastic price (I am guessing the 128gb might be cheaper and might deserve a post on its own?)
The main advantages I can see for the xiaomi one is is IPS vs LCD and 550 vs 400 nits but for other specs, the Lenovo one looks better including a larger 12.7" display. Are there any major differences I am missing out on?

  • Interesting. Need a new tablet for the Ms but this is overkill for glorified streaming use. Hopefully something like like the Lenovo Tab 3 comes back on sale to buy.

  • What sort of games could you emulate on this tablet?

    • Android games.

    • +1

It handles aethersx2 fine so you could easily run most PS2 games.

  • Damn I just ordered Pad 6 a few days ago for $420…… Crying :(

  • 11SALE40 not working, showing as all redeemed.

    • Some people are claiming if you keep trying to eventually works.
