    • Where were your dick jokes when this deal was posted?

Apologies, I missed that deal. Jokes apart, this ladder is very good value for money and thanks for sharing it with us.

        • Hee hee, no offence taken. I've seen that one used before on this brand.

Buy a few of these and some snakes and you’ve got a great wholesome activity with some friends.

  • Seems a good price, but I couldn't even change my lightbulbs with this.

    • +2

      Why? Weight capacity?

      • I usually change my lightbulbs whilst naked, so should just be ok.

        • +1

          Apologies

    • Says A-frame heights 1.4m, shouldn't that be tall enough?

      • I have 12 foot ceilings in the front rooms and hall.
I guess I could balance on the top rung and stretch, but I'd rather not.

      • Good pickup. The normal, 4m version is $89 + expensive delivery on eBay/kogan etc

    Maximum weight capacity: 100kg

    excludes most ozbargainers …

    • Keep in mind a lot of people use ladders for painting, and a lot of those are lazy (like myself) and lug the whole paint can up and stick it on a platform shelf. A 10L can of paint weighs over 15kg, plus the weight of the shelf, and you are down to an 87kg weight limit. So that rules a few more people out.

      • Ya'll reckon this is for the whole ladder too or just the extending platform?

Not even sure I'd trust 100kg on that extended platform..

But I grabbed one anyway. And wondering if I should have actually grabbed a second..

Perhaps you should be wondering if you should've spent $136 on something more reliable then?

          • @pizzaguy: Is there anything like this more reliable for $136..? 😅 Seems to have a fair few good reviews.

              @WasBargain: Fair call, I don't know

Yeah, be gentle to it :)

                @pizzaguy: I always baby everything I buy. That's why I'm on here! 😅

I'm just a little worried because I only cracked sub-100kg a couple months ago.. 🤣

The weight rating would apply to the worst case scenario which would be when it is used as a straight 2.8m ladder. When set at shorter lengths and as an a-frame it will be stronger, however you won't know what weight the individual rungs are rated to carry.

          • @Luckypenguin: Thanks for that info!

I didn't actually know what was worst case. Assumed it was the platform.. 😅

            • @WasBargain: Perhaps it is, but it would not seem to be a good strategy to downgrade the weight limit of the entire ladder based on that of a removable accessory.

              • @Luckypenguin: Is it a downgrade though to say that (at worst) the extended platform can only take 100kg..? 😅

I actually have no idea, but I'd see it pretty nifty if that were the case. It's just then, they should give/list the different load bearing sections so we know like max for different use cases.

I'm no engineer but I assume at A-frame it would be able to hold atleast 200kg if the platform alone could hold 100kg (or even your suggested full 2.8kg extension at 100kg).

Edit: I came across this eBay listing where it's titled 150kg but the description is copy/pasted saying 100kg.. 🤣

                • @WasBargain: Yep, there's a few eBay listings that claim 150kg. This one even includes a fuzzy image of a certificate that it shares with a 2 slice toaster.

                  • @Luckypenguin: Hahaha, wtf? Those dang Belarussians!

I was looking last night at random videos last night trying to find a review of this and it looks like it may just be a ripoff of the Little Giant or some variant rather?

                    • +1

@WasBargain: Probably very similar. Bailey and Gorilla also do ladders with adjustable sliding legs. The type of the ladder that I am not touching with a ten-foot pole is this kind

                      • @Luckypenguin: Hahaha, came across those too! Some clown had one full extension, not over the structure enough, and it was already wobbling at the centre without weight.. 🤣 It held him up a few stairs but expected a "dumb ways to die" cut but it just ended. It actually held him up a few steps, but even Evil Knievel wouldn't go any further.. 🤣

                      • @Luckypenguin:

strange, kogan is always flogging that type of ladder
