Wonder if we'll ever see another bonkers sale on completes/longboards/cruisers like that one from a while back. Bought way more boards than I needed, don't even have space for them.

But for $50 a pop… would that I bought a few more when I had the chance.

What was the bonkers sale you're speaking of? How much were the boards back then?

This deal and it was no small selection.

Looks like they closed shop, so no more $50 boards.

Not the biggest range but they regularly have skateboards on sale for under $50 and just $5 postage. Even right now you can get a complete Elements board for $55 delivered. When there's a storewide sale it's even cheaper.

guys any drawbacks comparing to wooden decks ?

    • +1

      Yes, no grip tape.

      • +2

You can add grip tape to plastic decks just like you can on wooden decks…

Plastic is for cruising, not so much tricks at they don't really pop like wooden ones do (as they're more flexible).

Nice deal, I remember these were $150 a decade ago. I guess they've been undercut by the cheap ones that show up at Kmart and ALDI, but the quality of Penny boards are so much better.

i don't even skate anymore but i'm still tempted

  • hmm, it seems purely online store, but how to try before buy ?

    Thanks OP.

I don't skate (yet), but it's time to learn.

    $59 for a 32" delivered sounds like a great deal…!

  • So I tried to get back into skateboarding a few years ago during Covid and got tricked out parts (except for the 8" board itself) and the thing is soo smooth but scary as to get balanced. I quit like a few weeks later.. 😅

I want to grab another cheaper setup just to get a feel for it again and have a more cruisey orientated deck. Should I maybe just try a 36inch? Even that looks more sketch to balance on though with the thin profile. But maybe because wider trucks it'll be more stable? ABEC7's giving me flashbacks to my Covid setup though.. 😱
