  If its anything like any other streaming downloader, it will be routinely kyboshed by changes by the streaming company and turn into a game of cat and mouse and so this free offer will become a paid one for updates pretty quickly. Inner cynic writes these reviews…..he's rarely wrong.

  The deal should disclose that updates wont be free - this is a standard practice on software "freebies" "giveaways" elsewhere

  The deal should also disclose that even if you buy the paid version changes by the streamer may render it useless….

    of course not….thats why the streaming companies change their backends all the time to combat these downloaders

    the biggest clue should be the streamer itself doesnt offer downloading….. :)

    Nothing like a VCR.

    VCRs weren’t recording from a source with DRM.

    No idea about Australia, but in the US at least, removing or attempting to defeat DRM is illegal.

    I don’t really care, but comparing this to a VCR is incorrect.

  if your going to the effort to dump and strip the DRM, why not just torrent it in the first place??

    Yeah my question also. Is it a direct DRM removal and save of the stream or the much lower quality Stream (decode, display), then Record (capture, encode).

    Obviously even the stream, record method is still better than backing up old VHS movies tape to tape but there's still visible quality loss.

    Anyone confirm?
