Terms and Conditions
*Earn up to 40,000 Flybuys points per policy (Offer) is only available to Flybuys members who receive this communication, purchase a new Coles Car, Home or Landlord policy (Eligible Policies) as set out in the communication between Tue 31 Oct and Wed 29 Nov 2023 inclusive (Offer Period), provide their Flybuys number at the time of purchase, and keep the policy in force for at least the 30 day cooling off period and until the points are loaded to the member’s Flybuys account. Each eligible policy you sign up within the Offer Period will be eligible to receive the Offer. 40,000 is the maximum number of points that can be earned on every eligible policy. Points will be calculated on the total premium paid per annum (including optional extras added at the time of purchase). Min. spend $1500.01 per policy to earn 40,000 points. The Offer will be credited to the member’s Flybuys account up to 45 days after the policy start date. For full terms and conditions see coles.com.au/insurance/tiered-bonus-points. Standard Flybuys terms and conditions apply and are available at flybuys.com.au.
Net gain if you switch policies exactly at 45 days is just about $15.
$1501/365*45 = $185
40000 / 2000 * 10 = $200.
So, doing it solely for the points seems like a bad idea but if you're looking to switch policies anyway, then worth getting $200 for no effort.
